Ya gotta understand their are play by play and color roles. Long is a color guy. Hassle has been working play by play for tv. Having some minimal radio experience calling some high school games, play by play is much tougher than color. There's a difference between making a few commmets in between plays and getting in and out of brakes as well as interviews. On top of all that you have all the sponsors.
I'd be all for giving Hassel a shot in the future but I'm also not in a rush to get rid of Dolph.

I think Paul Burmeister has a helluva damn good resume compared to Chris Hassel. Burmeister played the game so he knows the play by play of what formations and shifts and motions are being used pre-snap probably much better than Hassel or other less studied people would.
