IC West Players

Iowa and Coach Fran have to put in some OT with recruiting here in Iowa City, if they have any thoughts of landing either of IC West recruits. Wouldn't that be awful to have either stud (Alexander or Morgan) go elsewhere. Stolen out of our own backyard! However, Alexander might be headed the FB route.

I agree on Morgan, but Alexander is not a big ten basketball player. Another Eric May in waiting IMO--great athlete, but probably better on the football field.

Will be interesting to see what guys Fran invests a ton of time on in the 2013 class. We will have only 1 or 2 schollys to give and I think Agau will be a priority.

As of now I hope the class is Agau and Morgan, unless Jok shows a ton this summer on the AAU circuit.

How about Lohaus for the 2014 class? He looks like he has a lot of upside and he is only a sophomore.

I would be pleased if both Morgan and Lohaus were future Hawkeyes. They both appear to have legitimate D1 talent.

Morgan is legit and the Hawks would do well to get him. His father played for the Hawks... so that should help.

D'andre Alexander is a prima donna not worth the baggage. Great athlete, physical tools etc.... but his academics/general mental demeanor will throw up red flags.

Wyatt Lohaus is a great kid, only a sophomore. Been playing varsity since last year, as a freshman. A bit short (under or right at 6 foot). Again, the son of a former Hawk player... Iowa will certainly have a shot at him if he fits into their scheme.

He could possibly grow a couple inches, hopefully :D

How tall is Lohaus' Mom?
Boys dont stop growing until about 20. So he may come into Iowa and gain some height as well.
Another factor to look at is how mature Lohaus is. And I mean physically mature. Is he shaving yet? Does he have much body hair? If not, these are indications of a late bloomer. Which means he has 4 years to get those 9 inches.

this may be considered assault in some states

My son has played football with both players. They are physically blessed. I really wish that Morgan liked FB more because it would be nice to have a 6'6" WR. He has excellent hands. I can't imagine either kid going anywhere but Iowa if they are offered.
