You're the idiot. Defense and special teams for the most part won the two games he started.

Hills stats for his two starts are 12-35 for a completion rate of 34.2%, 147 yards with 1 TD and 1 interception. Rushing 5 attempts for minus 43 yards (All Sacks)

QB rating average for his 2 starts. 4.2 Yikes!!!

We will deal with the shitty QBR when it's appropriate. He just did what Petras couldn't do, and what Stanley couldn't do twice. He won at Camp Randall.

Side note. I'm blown away that Johnson's 82 yard run was the longest rush from scrimmage in the Kirk era. That Shonn Greene never did it. And neither did Fred Russell, Brandon Wegher, or our Bethard era of the Canzeri, Wadley, L Daniels triumvirate. Damian Sims never did it. Marcus Coker didn't do it. Nay on Tyler Goodson.

The QB didn't win, defense and special teams did.

Iowa's offense is a laughing stock nationally as most people realize the west division and non-conf. schedule for the Hawks is very weak.

I love the Hawks and have since the early 70's. But I also love to watch sports that keep up with the times and is competent. Iowa football on the offensive side is no where close to this.

It's great and all the Hawks won, but if they make the conf. championship game, I will say it right now. It will not be pretty and will in fact be ugly and embarrassing.

Well this year’s Michigan team is one of the best I have seen in twenty years so likely you’re correct.

Our offense is pathetic and as usual the defense carried Brian’s water again. Brian was ten points short tonight. Just because we won a defensive slug fest does not let Brian off the hook. Run, Run, Run punt is not competent football. We owe this game to the defense. No knock on our Quarterback as it is what it is. Offensive line is showing slow progress.

It would be fun to win the last year the West exist. We are on track to go the 11-1 that I predicted. I had said we would likely lose one of the two games between Wisconsin and Penn State game. I also said likely the loss would be to Penn State.

Now comes Minnesota and I suspect their offense will be better than Wisconsin’s and their defense worse than Wisconsin’s so it could be another knuckle dragging grind it out fight. You know what that means right? Advantage Iowa.

So, to be fair and honest to those being critical of the offense, well they are correct we suck on offense, not even debatable, but in some warped , sick way it seems to work for us.

Beginning to think next week might see us back in the 20s. Minnesota is giving up 36 a game in their last 4. The trend line is not good, and includes the mighty Rajun Cajuns scoring 24. Their offense has been up and down. Scored 10 on tOSU and 13 against UNC. The Gopher's scored 34 in a loss to NW and 35 in a win against the Cajuns.

Iowa's defense is more like tOSU's and especially UNC's than the Rajun Cajuns and NW.

Everything about the NFL, and more and more NCAA football, is specifically designed to separate you from your money if you allow it to.

Again, back to the discussion before the season started. People would rather be entertained than win.

BTW did you see the smattering of cardinal and gold sitting in Badger sections yesterday with "Beat Iowa" shirts? (Or choice expletives?)

If clown fans have gotten to the point where they will spend time and money traveling to neutral stadiums to root against us then they have truly sunk to a new low. (Their own team actually had a nice win yesterday and is quietly righting their ship a bit)

Of course they could have been Gopher fans as well. They've been known to do the same thing.

If people want to laugh at a 6-1 team, regardless of how we got there, then let them.

You know who they should be laughing at? Colorado. Blows a 29-0 second half lead at home to a 1-4 team because they're all flash and no substance.

And don't even tell me they would throttle us in a bowl game because I know some of us out there are already thinking that.

No they wouldnt. There are close to 200 fan bases out there who would love a 6-1 record right about now.
