I want the bugeaters to get beat...

Most overhyped QB ever? jake locker. NFL teams love him because he knows how to 'manage' a game? that guy looks far from an NFL qb.

If you live in Nebraska, and you stand outside and are real quiet, you can hear domestic violence being commited.

convenient. I understand Missouri didn't either.......

I can understand Nebraska's being flat. They got jobbed out of a better bowl (likely because they're leaving the conference), and got stuck playing a team that they curb-stomped in September. I'd have a hard time getting up for a game like that, too.

I've said that for some time now. He's awful as a QB. One of the announcers said at one point that he hasn't put up great numbers tonight, but there's more to playing QB than putting up gaudy stats. I thought to myself: yeah, but there can't be a whole lot less to it than actually completing your passes. That's kind of the bare minimum.

Washington's passing attack ought to tell everyone just how "good" Locker is. It's almost all deep. Watching him in almost any game, it's pretty safe to assume that they go deep all the time because he's not anywhere near accurate enough to efficiently execute the short and intermediate throws. It's just throw it as far as he can and let his receivers run under it, and when that's not there, take off and run. I couldn't believe that they kept going deep up the sidelines against Nebraska's secondary. Why not run slants and posts, get across the corners' faces and get them to ease off some to open up the outside? Because Locker can't execute that kind of game.

NFL QB's also don't get to run with the kind of freedom he has right now, and the helmet-to-helmet shot he took is a great example as to why that is. That's far and away his strongest asset, and he won't be allowed to use it from the QB position. He's going to be a complete bust at QB, but he could make for one scary as hell TE or WR.

I don't buy the "didn't want to be there" argument for a flat performance. These are college football players that have one job..to play college football. How hard is it to get motivated to do the one thing most of these guys are good at? Sure beats the crap out of the real world.

Did you happen to witness the Iowa Minnesota game from this year? Sure looked a lot like what you're describing above.

Oh, and it was absotively glorious to watch the Huskers go down; and to see the B12 going 1-4. Could not have scripted it better 'cept for OSU to have lost to Az.

Im sorry guys I have to chime in. I live in nebraska and everywhere I go wearing my hawk gear some husker fan has something rediculous to say. Actually a freaking new guy at work didnt even really want to get to know me but just wanted tell me how bad nebraska is gona kill iowa next year. I wanted to argue but ive been down this road at least a hundred times and i just cant convince them that the big ten is way different than big twelve and you better watch out. I ended my last little verbal scuffle with a husker fan with "dont think your gona push over the huskies they have been getting better at end of year" So it feels very good to be a iowa fan in small town nebraska. Im sure that no one in my town will even come out of there houses today. MY HAWK FLAG IS FLYING PROUD

Completely agree and know where you're coming from.

Wife is a husker, originally from Lincoln. Have to go there on occasion for family get togethers and the like. While her family is somewhat cool about it, I have never met a bigger bunch of douchenozzle fans than Nebraska's. If I happen to be wearing Iowa gear there, always and I mean always, expect to get some stupid crap about how Iowa is some lower tier team that couldn't hang with Neb, or the B10 sucks.

The thing that's starting to **** me off is when her family tries to get my young kids to chant Go Huskers or root for them if they're not playing an Iowa team. BS! If you're in my house you will be rooting for Iowa and wearing Iowa gear. If you don't like it, go somewhere else.

Dylan - I've had to work in a dept surrounded by Husker fans, this was during their '90's run, so I feel your pain. Nothing makes me smile more than to see their arrogance (putting it nicely) humbled like last night.

For every poor dog that is abused in Nebraska, I will smash bo pelini in the kidneys with a length of stout elevator cable.
At least, in my mind I will.

I will join you - my great dane just got back from the vet and is ****** and looking for some revenge.
