I Thought We Were TE U

I guess not. We can't even develop a position that we are historically good at developing.

What is going on with this program?
You do realize that both of our early departures were only 3rd year guysz right?

It's difficult to develop when you don't have the time to, and there's about 5 programs that are built to proactively defeat losses like that.

If you were a TE prospect would you go to Iowa and sit for 3 years behind Fant and TJ ?(which ended up being 2)

That’s why it’s cyclical.

This is why I said develop. We develop 2* O linemen into decent starters. Why not a TE. We dont even throw to our TEs this year.

Your telling me that there is no one on this team that can catch a pass that plays TE?

Dont good programs reload and not rebuild?

You do realize that our two starting TE’s are a junior and senior? Do you think they need more time???? We get zero production from that position

And you dont see that as a problem?
Jesus Christ it's like talking to a wall.

You really think the Iowa coaches approached TE recruiting in 16-18 thinking "well TJ and Noah are both gonna have ridiculous years in 2018 and leave early"?

They target 1-2 guys per class. They banked on having them for another year. They did not bank on them BOTH leaving early, nor would have anyone. 2 guys leaving early leaves a hole. Do the math.

Then our coaching staff is clueless. If you dont recognize what you have, you have no idea what you are doing. And if you dont develop players behind them, realizing they will be gone in 3 or 4 year, you're a shitty staff.

F you're stupid.

I guess 247 is clueless for ranking TJ as just a 3-star. I guess half the FBS is clueless for not offering a scholarship. I guess the coaches are clueless for not using their crystal ball to see Jacob Coons leaving after 2 years.

Hindsight is 20/20, don't act like you know dick because you can look back and see it.

Seriously? They are division one coaches. And they have no clue the talent they have? You are a dumb as a rock or the staff is if they dont realize they may lose a guy in 3 years. But beyond that, they know they only have these guys for 4 years. Someone posted we a have a freshman coming. Okay, so we have TJ this season, who else? What if TJ gets hurt.

Are you that stupid to not realize this staff dropped the ball AGAIN?
