I Really Enjoy Watching Iowa State.

I pretty much quit watching Iowa football when ferentz shook up his staff so he could hire his son. I don't really watch Iowa State but they are doing pretty good. The head coach seems to know what he is doing. I got hooked on Iowa football when Hayden Fry took over, and it took Ferentz to unhook me. I don't think I want to get involved in all the emotions of being a fan with Iowa State or any other team. I follow the hawkeye basketball team, and maybe watch a game every once in awhile, but its pretty nice not to be absorbed by it. Its kind of strange to be a fan of a bunch of people you don't really even know. I guess its in the nature of the world to love a winner.

I think Ferentz and Iowa have to be real careful here as there is that chance of a shift in the state. Yes, you are still gonna have all the die-hard Hawk fans but the national attention is focusing on our brethren at this point. Matt Campbell is doing a terrific job there and making Iowa play 2nd fiddle. Sure, he might be gone after this year, but say he stays.

Maybe having a QB who isn't a wooden Indian back there would I don't know...generate more offense, thus potentially more points; put us in a position where 1 f'up doesn't cause us to lose to avg or below avg teams. It's not like Stanley is giving us anything back there with his arm.

Two screw ups back to back in clutch!!! And running game overall this year has sucked!!

okay dude, 'splain to me this. The last two freaking years the 3rd string QB at the start of their season ended up as their starter and all the sudden is the greatest QB ever. What does that say about the coaching at ISU??????????? Can't they judge talent and character, etc?
 
And I am not defending leaving Fant on the sideline. That is a damn joke. He should be in on every pass play either as a TE or wideout. That is the coaches unless they ever divulge something that would back them up.

He's a freshman. I'm not even sure he was there for the spring. They gave Kempf, as a senior, a chance to perform and keep his job which I think is the correct thing to do. You then evaluate if the youngster is getting it and where you are at that position. He again made the correct decision starting the freshman.

Oh I completely agree. Yet another reason we would benefit from a semi-mobile QB. I'm not even talking a true dual threat. I mean even Rocky Lombardi rumbled for like 60 yds when Spartys offense had been trash all day. against OSU.
 
This is the kick in the face a poster could do. Fist off this should be in the rivalry thread not in the Football thread. Second keep the effing clowns over on the clown board where they belong. This is the worst fan board I've ever read. Fans over here are phonies. When things are going good yiiipppeee! When things go south you bring in the effing clowns!!!!! Really? You must be a troll and it's working. Can't wait for all the clowns to come with all their crap!

Sparty got crushed. They are a full on dumpster fire even though they were ranked. That many guys back and you get that.

I'm not a clone fan and never said that at the end of a season. But I'm saying it now. Iowa State would beat Iowa.
