I may not be up on this, but is Minnesota considered an NCAA tourney lock?

If ISU loses, they are on the bubble big time. But probably still in for the meantime.
Bad news is if they lose, they probably drop out of the Top 50 RPI, taking a Q Win away from Iowa.

ISU down 8 at the half. They can't hit a 3 to save their lives....1-12 so far. I hope they win today and then lose to KS tomorrow....

As for Illinois. Guard play is king in the NCAA tourny and Illinois has pretty good guard play..

Seriously, if Iowa wins 1 or even 2, how can the committee look past the last 15 or so games. Minnesota is horrible. Why put a team in that plays so inconsistently and sucks away from home. Iowa may not have any good road wins, but at least their consistent and play close games.

Minnesota has no business being in the tournament at this point. Over the last 16 games, they went 5-11 with their avg loss in those 11 losses coming by double digits. They haven't won a game away from Williams arena in 64 days.

Look past stats and data and all the other nerd $hit and it's apparent to anyone that follows college basketball that this is a BAD team.

I'm not saying Minnesota shouldn't make it because Iowa should get their spot. I'm saying Minnesota shouldn't make it because of how they're playing. Whether it be Iowa or someone else that takes their spot I know there is a better team out there somewhere for the NCAA Tournament.

I doubt it. When's the last time Minnesota had a good coach? Monson stunk up the joint. Haskins had to cheat to win. I think Minnesota just proved it doesn't matter who it's coach is....they'll simply always stink. If a former national championship coach couldn't get it done there....not many others can.

Sad thing is, this was not a team full of underclassmen. Mbakwe and Williams were Seniors and probably two of their top 3 players. I say next year gets Tubster fired when they fall further off a cliff.
