I Hate Wisconsin

Seriously, how can one team get as much good fortune over and over and over as Wisconsin? Against Iowa, on the road, Michigan has a 52% FT shooter make 2 shots to send to OT. At home against Wisconsin, a pretty good FT shooter misses a FT that could have made it a 2 possession game. Then a banked 3 to win it at the buzzer??? This isn't new. You could have guessed it with Wisconsin. They get every bounce of the ball. It's amazing.

I hate Wisconsin.

So in other words, you hate Wisconsin because they're good. That's lame.

Let me ask you this, were you complaining last year when the Iowa football team got EVERY POSSIBLE lucky break on their way to the BCS?

This one is dedicated to you Tecmo, and everyone like you...

Are you serious?

Lose Jewel in the offseason and have to rely on 2 freshman RB.
Bulaga misses some games due to a thyroid condition.
Moeaki misses a handful with a bum ankle.
DJK is not 100% early in the year and hardly plays.
McNutt is hurt through the middle of the year until about the MSU game.
We lose Sandeman and Greenwood at MSU.
Greenwood misses at least one more game, maybe more.
Wegher and Robinson each miss games, leaving us with 1 scholarship RB.
Stanzi goes down against NW. Miss him for 2 and a half games.

Im sure there are several more that I am missing. That is just what came off the top of my head. Explain to me how we got EVERY POSSIBLE break on the way to the BCS.

You're right, what was I thinking. Iowa had no luck what so ever. They won all of those close games because they were awesome. Wisconsin only wins games because of dumb luck.

LAWDY LAWDY I SEE THE LIGHT!

Three of my buddies who are tOSU fans (I know, I know, but no, I won't dump them because of that), because of recent FB and BB events, indicate Buckeye-nation now considers Bucky to be their "new rival", supplanting scUM.

That's saying a lot.

Wow. That IS saying a lot. Good luck with that, Bucky.

The shot at the end that went in was a complete prayer, no doubt. However, I look at it more that Michigan didn't get the job done against them and they did against Iowa. Michigan didn't make their free throws and put themselves in that position where something like that can happen. Same thing can be said about Iowa not getting the job done against Michigan. Gatens knocks down an open 3 late in that game and maybe they win. Not saying that cost them the game only that you have to make shots like that when it counts if you are going to win. Plus, come on they beat Michigan. They have struggled lately in both sports but they can't be off everyone's hate radar yet.

Iowa had some luck during the 2009 football season but that was not the sole reason they won 11 games. They were good. Where did I say that Wisconsin only wins games because of dumb luck? I did not. Your know- it- all attitude coupled with your complete lack of sports knowledge is comical.

Perhaps the effect of sarcastic hyperbole is diminished in print, so I apologize if you took any of that to be directed at you, instead of at the topic at large, where it was aimed.

However, if luck was not the reason Iowa won 11 games, then it is the reason Iowa didn't lose 5.

It wasnt directed at me but you quoted my post in your response?

From a pure talent and athletic standpoint, this may be one of Bo Ryan's weakest teams in years. From a TEAM standpoint, this team plays as well together as any team in the nation. Kudos to them, but that generally leads to early exits in the NCAA. They will be a round 2 drop out in all likelihood. They simply have very little talent behind Leuer and Tayloer.

And earlier someone said Wisconsin is not perimiter oriented. That is a false statement. Wisconsin has attempted the 3rd most 3 pointers in the Big Ten this year. Against Iowa they shot nearly 30 3's. The 3 point shot is a huge part of their game. At least this year. That is also tough to sustain in the NCAA tourney. Another reason I believe Wisconsin will bow out early.

I think Deace made a good analogy awhile ago in regards to Bo Ryan calling him the Kirk Ferentz of Wisconsin basketball. It is hard not to respect what he has done for that program. Yeah the facial expressions during the games get annoying but I can't bring myself to hate the guy or the program. Now big snoz ankle tatt in football is a different story.
