Penn State has no right to be in this position. I give them credit for being good and winning the Big 10 title but if the NBAA (no balls at all ) hadn't backed off it's punishment Penn State wouldn't have been able to do this. Penn State, Ohio State, North Carolina receive little to no punishment while mid level teams receive hard punishment for lesser violations.
NCAA is a bunch of cowards who are morally bankrupt.

If there ever was a perfect example of the need for a death penalty it would be the case of State Penn. None of this talk about bagmen paying players in the SEC will ever compare to what happened under JoPa's watch.

And this is the very reason to take a few long shots each game. Did you see McSorley's passing line against OSU? It was something like 9 for 23 but for over 240 yards. They suck you to the LOS with Barkley and the zone read then go over the top. I hate to say it but I like that aggressive type play calling.

You have to look at the risk-reward and if you can get a defensive holding and a PI and 5 long completions in a game then you have a good chance of winning.

I hate Ped State as much as any of you. I don't like Franklin either.

Franklin inherited O'Brien's recruits. O'Brien really saved Ped St.s ass, but Franklin rode out the O'Brien "wanna be the Patriots" offense which looks just like Iowa's pro-style offense wanna to be the Patriots offense. Both average in their execution. Franklin had used John Donovon at OC as he continued using Hackenburg at QB. Hackenberg was looking like an Iowa QB in a tired offense, while Franklin's 2014 and 2015 records looked Iowa-ish at 7-6 and 7-6.

Enter 2017. Franklin didn't hire a Greg Davis, he changed it up huge and hired Fordham HC Joe Moorhead as his OC. Huh? Joe who. The Pittsburgh native is known for his uptempo, high-scoring offenses; his Fordham units ranked near the top in nearly every statistical category during his four years there, and he wants to bring offensive fireworks to Penn State. Enter a mobile QB (McSorely) who is allowed leeway to make play (who looks like Ryan Boyle btw), a little read option to open up passing lanes, lots of motion, power running, taking chances down field along with a stingy defense and you've got a team playing to win (not lose Ferentz!) As much as I hate it, they are the hottest team in the Big10 right now. Ped State 41, Hawks 14.
