Husker/Hawkeye Game Thread

The problem is you should be able to get away from the run there and hit a nice decent pass. Now, the exterior gadget plays against this D are just plain stupid. But you should be able to design pass plays to get an advantage in those situations to maybe make it second and 3 or so.

The issue is that if Iowa cannot expect Vandy to be able to convert those plays by now, what can they ever expect out of him.

He is an interesting case. Just doesn't seem to have that coolness on the road. The thing is, he is cool at home. So, he can do it some time. Just not sure how you get him to get there on the road.

The style of O we play is really hurt by not having a TE that can get open/make a catch. Look at are best years and look at who we had for TE's.

Vandy is 4/10 for 36 yrds, that is all that needs to be said. Those are Junior High numbers. When your QB has 36yrds in the first half I would say fans have a right to be a little upset.

You haven't been watching much Iowa football this year, have you? The TE's are consistently wide open down the middle of the field, and Vandenberg doesn't find them.

Well...this first half was clearly there for the taking is Iowa's offense would have executed and JVB would play more calmly....sadly I expect Nebraska to roll down the field and make it 17-0 which puts it a bit out of reach if the offense does what it has been doing....tough break because we could have taken advantage in the first half...

Kirk says 'That's Horrible' on the sideline. Then he sees it's Off PI, and then he says 'That's better'. Pretty funny. :)

There's the BO face! Ignore the hat!
