This season is in the toilet. Play some youth to at least give us fans a sliver of hope in what we have to endure for 9 MORE FREAKING YEARS!!!!!!!!!

Everywhere I turn I have to listen to some BS about having games left to play. Dolphin makes me want to puke on the post game show with his 'hey folks we have 4 more to play' bull crap as if this coach is really going to get serious with this program now that the season is done.

I'm trying to be optimistic that things will click with this team. I want to believe it will eliminate the mistakes and make plays. I'm struggling to envision it happening with what we've seen to date.
The coaches need to do better, too. Kicking a FG down eight with 5:28 to play with your defense gassed was more than a curious decision.

Rob, realistically are you really optimistic? In the past, there is frustration with KF on play calling and so on. This really is a talent issue. The D can improve, but they are not fast. The O isn't going anywhere.
But to what end? Let's say things click as soon as the next game and they go 3-1.
That's 8-4 in some bowl most don't care about.
Edit: Beating Nebby would bring me happiness.

8-4 with a win over nebby. Sign me up. Add a bowl game win, while it'll still be disappointing overall, at this point it'd be great.
It'd be happy with a competitive game in Happy Valley at this point.

It'll be competitive. Stop their run game and you limit them. Only a win and competent offense will make me happy.
Another team that is playing OSU tough right now. Except we don't get that game at home.

Prep for next year. Let the seniors audition for the NFL, but get the youngsters some much needed experience.
I think Iowa has a good chance of losing 3 of the last 4 games. If Iowa gets Stanley some more experience it would go a long way to helping next years group. Along with some of the receivers.

I may have spoke too soon. PSU has some talent. Haven't watched them much but they look fast on defense aggressive with a mobile qb....not a good formula for Iowa.

I can't see a win against Michigan, so 3-1, beating the Huskers would be an accomplishment.
Btw, Penn St just beat Ohio St

Wiped the SmugSmile off urban's face. Such a joy to see. I had thought that a win at Penn State was a possibility among the remaining games. Now, in my mind, that possibility has dimmed.
Might be nice to enjoy a bye week. No worries about losing again for a couple of weeks.

I actually agree with this. This feels worse than 2012, given the expectations and what we had coming back. The offense is getting worse, and I personally do not believe is all due to lack of talent.
