Howe: Buck Stops with Kirk Ferentz

Keep an eye on if Bill O'Brien gets a gig for next season. He tried to hire Brian as his OL coach with the Texans. Brian will get another job in CFB or NFL if he leaves Iowa.
We live in a cancel culture world. Don't bank on this.

If something sticks in the racial discrimination case, then I could see that changing the landscape for Brian in terms of future employment. If not, he will get another coaching job relatively easily.

Steven Ferentz is an assistant LB coach with the Dolphins with very little experience.

It's often who you know and relationships.

I'd bet my house and vehicle that it just ends in a settlement with no admission of guilt. I'm not saying I think guilty or not guilty (which isn't going to get discussed in this sub so don't take it down that road), but just that I think that's where it's going to end up.

I'm confused. How is this cancel culture world tied into Brian potentially getting a coaching gig next season? Not sure the connection.
He's saying if the defendants don't settle and are found liable, then it will be more difficult for Brian to get a job somewhere else because at that point he's basically been confirmed in a court of law to have been racially discriminatory.

Again, this thread isn't for discussion of the case, but I'm just pointing out what @HawkGold was talking about depending on the outcome of the civil trial going on right now.
