How ya all feeling now?

Iowa has had plenty of "good" teams that have lost to Iowa State and UNI...I like a "bad" Iowa team which can win these two. In-state victories have high value, and help to lock down talent within the border.

feeling good now that the team learned to play D. PG play will determine how the season goes. Pesml and Cook in the same front court is a very enticing thought.

A little sleepy but overal I'm feeling pretty good. Thanks for asking. How are you feeling?

Lol, believe me I know how that goes. I leave home for work at 230 pm and don't get back home until 500 am. Luckily it's just seven days a week. Literally I have to work everyday except when I can get one of my coworkers to cover a week end here and there.

Excellent recruiting point. This should definitely give us an edge.

I guess at this point the only concern is how Cook will fit in the mix. The current group and rotation has really started to gel so I almost hate to see any changes but Cook is obviously too good of a talent.

However, I think he definitely needs to come off the bench. Stay with up the same starting 5 and having him and Baer coming off the bench is some real depth.

Agreed, Cook will get minutes as he is too good of a talent to leave on the bench but I hope it isn't at the expense of Pemsl as he has proved he deserves the PT.

This is a nice problem to have. Cook is more explosive around the basket and maybe a better shot from the outside but I also think Pemsl is better defensively.

I watched the game last night on ESPN3 on the internet and I am still somewhat concerned that we didn't have more offensive scoring in the paint. If we live by the jump shot we will die when those shots aren't falling. That is what killed both ISU and UNI. That is where I hope Cook will help a lot and that Pemsl will continue to improve.

I'm still fully on board with this team. I love the way they are playing right now.

It's logical that Fran can feel safe about his job as some thought he could no longer coach and his seat was getting warmer.

The seat is always warm for coaches in high level college and pro sports...it is why they make the big money...big expectations. It is a voluntary calling which they seem to enjoy.

I was impressed with some of those rebounds Baer was bringing down. My Sling TV ESPN3 kept going out throughout the game, so I'm sure I missed some things.
Moss looked in control still.
Pemsl still looking good.
Wagner and Uhl playing better too.
I had Sling and while its nice to get live TV, their streaming sucks big time. I very rarely got high DEF picture either. SO I switched to playstation vue when I found out my ROKU carried it. It's the bomb..much better and I got BTN comcast,ESPN ,FOX sports.. much better deal.

The thing is we didn't shoot well and still beat a decent team easily. Outside of Jok's 3/3 we were 3/17 from deep. That is about as bad as we can shoot it. Jok is good for at least a couple 3s a game. Cook will defintely help down low as well.

Yep, Fran talked about this is his post game show and stated that there were significant periods in which neither team was scoring and that is why playing good defense is so important.
