D**n people have a short memory. After Minnesota, there were a ton of predictions that Michigan would beat us double digits, and we might not or probably won't win another game. Now we escape with a win against Michigan and all of a sudden there's all these predictions that we win out or lose just one, possibly play for B1G championship AND win there and go to the Rose Bowl.

This win doesn't make Iowa a completely different team. I could still see them losing the rest of their games. But I could also see them winning the rest of them, but that won't be easy. I also think if they make it to the championship game, then they'll get thrashed by Wisconsin.

We won't play Wisky. It'll be a rematch with either Pedophile State or a showdown with Tatgate State.

for that to happen, Michigan State would have to lose to Indiana or @ Northwestern ... I know it could happen, but not likely, IMO

I think NW usually plays well against MSU. It's at Northwestern.

On another note, all of NW's final three games are at home. This week, they play Rice. So, even though they're not that great, their schedule is favorable.

I actually think the most likely loss remaining is @ Purdue. Martinez can't beat us with his arm on Black Friday, any more than Robinson could.
At Purdue? are you kidding? Iowa stomps there.Purdue.....Losing Record. Lost to ND by 28, Michigan by 22, and Wisconsin by 45. Only wins were middle tennessee,
Southeastern Missouri State, Illinois. They also lost to a Rice team that is horrible.

We lost to Minnesota.

I understand the team lost to Minnesota, but I think that was the rally point and I think they answered last week with a HUGE confidence win. With that said, I'm setting myself up with high expectations (because I'm a fan) and believe they will somehow win out and we are 10-3 going to the Rose Bowl. I know it's ridiculous given the performance at Minny, but I'm just a fan and it won't affect my life at the end of the day where they end up. So hope for the best and plan for the worst! Go Hawks!

I think that if we can get MSU this week we will have a really good shot at Purdue next. I still think the toughest game this year will be MSU. I bet we will end up in Outback or Cap one. It would be really nice to win out and go to the rose, but then we would probably get smoked by Stanford then.

Jon -

We have a problem here. As of 8:03 AM, you have nine people on this site that very clearly have mental problems and perhaps have waked and baked.

I still don't have this team figured out. They will likely end 8-4 but where the wins and losses come from.... I'm not sure.

FWIW I voted for 8 wins also

If we do win out, I think we play Wisconsin in Indy, because they beat PSU, OSU beats PSU in Cbus, and OSU loses to Mich in AA

Wisconsin better bring the bull with them!

Win baby win. If you're going to wish...wish big! When it is least expected, expect it. See ya in Pasadena!

Seriously - We win 2 of 3 and play in nice weather.

7-5 and headed to the Ticket City Bowl. I have no idea what game we win as I have been wrong pretty much every game in the Big 10 season (outside of Indiana.)

Just like we stomped the Gophers on the road.

While that is true... No way should you pick that as a loss.

Lol.. what??? We haven't won on the road yet this season, our starting QB has never won a road game, and we historically do not play well @Purdue, but there's "no way should you pick that as a loss"?

Hah, okay!

It is so hard to tell, but if they can beat MSU I think it will give them a ton of confidence and momentum going into the final two games and they will win out.

I absolutley love the comment a previous poster made:

If your going to dream--dream big! amen to that!

BUT! i called this the day we lost to Minnesota and that is this team is going to go back and win their last 2 home games, beat Mich/Mich st and then close out and loose the last 2 games on the road and finish 7-5.

for now i continue with my standard hawkeye fantasy of finishing this year with a massive bang and pull out the big W in Indy to head to the Rose bowl...... but then there is reality unfortuantly and the team is going to be flat and have no emotion on the road...again...and KF will roll into total basic keep it in the shell mode on the road and we'll loose the last 2 games. Trust me, it sucks, it hurts but we have not won a road game since...(I believe Indiana --1st sat of nov 2010)--- so it has been a full calendar year since we've won a football game on the road--and Vandy has to win on the road(albeit triumph effort in his first start in 09)

so to close out: W/L/L 7-5 ticket $hitty bowl ...

I picked 0-3. Why? We're 0-3 on the road, and there's never a reason to EXPECT a win from this team. I'll wake up every morning bright-eyed and ready to cheer on the Hawks, doesn't mean I'm going to assume they'll win any game ever. Can they win every remaining game? YES!!! Can Iowa lose to a terrible Minnesota team 2 consecutive years? NO! Oh wait, they did.

Not sure what to expect ever. Will they beat up the opponent or will they lose another 4th quarter lead? Jekyll or Hyde?

I don't really expect them to go 0-3, but hey, who knows what will happen?
