Hosts on BTN Live just told Hawkeye fans to

HawkNick, is that you?

OK4P - Bringing pretty weak stuff today!!

Dude, I am merely reporting what I heard. But seriously, brah, whom on our schedule are you afraid of? Whom? Nebraska is a tire fire. Wisconsin is a shell of its old self with a soft o-line and no running game - are you scared of Stave? ROFLCopter. Illinois has rolled two cupcakes. Minnesota is down. Northwestern is improved, but I don't think that QB is going to be any good against real competition. Indiana and Purdue just flat out suck. Maryland got rolled by Bowling Green. I mean, sure, we've all seen Ferentz inexplicably drop at most one game per season, so I ain't calling a perfect season, but I'm having a hard time coming up with the losses that would keep us from double digit wins.

win the next 3.... I give this topic merit. We will be first in line at that point. Lose any of the next 3, very unlikely...very.

First, let's convincingly win vs. Pitt.

The potential is definitely there and looking a bit brighter, but I need to see a conference win and how they play. We will know a lot after the Wisky game and how they play at Camp Randle. We will have a very good idea of their potential after that game.

Also, you failed to point out how well conditioned and how strong Chris Doyle has gotten them since last year. You're losing your touch!;)

Will all of the idiots who clowned on me in this thread please begin with their apologies? Barring an injury to CJ, I just ain't seeing a game where we ain't got at least a 70% chance of winning from now through the end of November. And mark my words, Thorson from NU will get absolutely punked by Michigan next week - that kid is gonna get murdered by a real defense and the wheels will come off the 'Cats, who look like the only other respectable team in our division.

Outside of Maryland, there is still some level of worry with the remaining schedule.

85% chance against Illannoy
40% chance at Northwestern (We rarely play good there and still think of the disaster there in 2010.)
95% chance against Maryland
60% chance at Indiana (I live 4 hours from Bloomington and I believe Kirk has won there only twice - 2002 and 2010.)
60% chance against Minnesota (Yes, the rats are struggling, but a lot of their roster that decimated us is still there)
70% chance against Peedew
50% chance at Debbie

buy tickets to Indianapolis. If we play like we played in that second half on Saturday, I ain't sure who is gonna keep us out.
Would like the offense to play a bit better then they played in the second half but D was very good even with the deep out coverage issues.

More importantly, they will get punched in the mouth, and stomach and thigh and groin, in a physical game. Soften 'em up for us. Fitz is brilliant at constructing a first team, but their depth is typically nil. They have far less ability to absorb injuries, hence their traditional second-half fades.

The Stanford win was impressive, but Stanford was playing a different O then. After some struggles early they've gone back to their power game.

Minnesota at home is 100%, unless we lose CJ and 2 RB's. And you can quote me if we lose.

I thought you were a big northwestern fan? Good you think the hawks can do it.

Big fish in little pond (Iowa) >>>littler fish in big pond (Michigan)

Sometimes it's talent, sometimes it's luck.

I'll take (and enjoy) a little luck this year.

If this team is going to make it to Indy, they'll have to play better pass defense. That means #28 who seems to be near every big play against Iowa's D. Iowa needs another tailback to make a contribution and CJB must stay healthy.

I now give this topic merit...if we win the next 2....I may look into tix.

Just win Sat.
