Honest Opinion

You guys must have been watching a different game then me...and this has was happening in the ISU game also.. Iowa attacks the basket and gets hit on the finish and no call... on the other end if we breath on the shooter its a foul.

It had been building up and that's why Fran exploded.... ya he overdid it but I think at that point he was out to get his money's worth.

So if the officials truly don't like Iowa (as some thing) or are that are letting everything go when its done to Iowa and calling everything when Iowa does the same thing, why a stupid temper tantrum/rant by Fran that leads to his ejection. He doesn't think games are officiated properly, thats fine. He doesn't think we are getting the same calls as Wiscy was, that's fine as well. So he loses his head, gets a double T, watches the game from the lockerroom, and thinks that by giving Wiscy 4 additional free throws while they're on a run and trail by two will suddenly right the ship. That's just stupid.

I'm a coach and the thing that bothered me the most was the fact that the only game a coach cannot and will not ever win is against the officials. It's a battle he simply cannot win, so rather than stopping after the first T he loses his mind and composure and chases the official down while screaming like a lunatic? He's got to be smarter than that.

If you want to blame officials for our losses, then you have to thank them for a couple of our wins too. Nebraska (Omaha) and Nebraska (Lincoln) were at the opposite end of a big foul disparity. Without the refs help (especially with our ****poor foul shooting) we would have lost these two games.

Could probably put the Norte Dame game into question too.

We need a go-to leader on the team and a coach that keeps his head in the game the whole game.

My honest opinion is..............
Woodbury - 13 mins. 1/2 FG, 3 rebs, 1 stl, 1 blk, 4 fouls and 3 pts
Ogelsby - 11 mins. 0/2, 1 reb, 1 assist and 0 pts.
............not good.

I think we need to use the best 8 (maybe 9) folks and quit trying to "out-depth" people.

Would not have lost either of those games.
