I saw the thread about John Candy and was reminded how much I liked to watch Planes Trains and Automobiles each year the night before Thanksgiving Day. But recently, after 30 years, its gotten a bit tired.

Then I rememberd this movie. Not stricly about Thanksgiving but it uses Thanksgiving as a canvas for how people changed afer immigrating

That movie never gets tired for me. John Candy was a saint. He's the uncle everyone wanted in their family and some of us were lucky enough to have.
