Heard on the OnIowa Live show Zeller is giving serious thought to coming back

Loves Indiana and going to school. I hope that is not true. Oh well, bring him on next year if that is the case.

Loving college is one thing. To see how much money he could bank by coming out and then seeing the possibility of that could all be gone with one bad play in college.

Good for him, though when you hold a lottery ticket in life such as he does, it would be tough not cashing it in.

Both of his brothers used up their eligibility and all 3 of them graduated in the top 3 in their high school classes...so I think academics are a factor. I have a feeling he will be back unless they win it all. I do think Oladipo will go pro and both Watford and Hulls will be gone so it won't be the same team around him.

Indiana still will have plenty of talent regardless if Zeller stays or goes. It will be interesting to see how his game transfers to the pros. He needs to put on some weight to get ready for NBA PFs and he's not nearly athletic enough to handle NBA SFs.

Imo, his NBA prospectus has already taken a hit by staying at Indy this season, imo. This season has shown when playing against big, physical centers/forwards, he is not the dominate player that he appeared to be during the 2011-12 season. Things will not get better, if he comes back, next year when he will not have Olidipo and Watford around to take a lot of the defensive focus off him, like happened this year. Zeller was still getting shots stuffed on him and got physically pushed around in Big 10 play and the guys he was facing aren't nearly as good, big and strong as NBA players.

It would not surprise me if he is back whatsoever.

What is wrong with a guy staying, worked out terrible for Tim Duncan.

I agree. At this point the NBA scouts have a pretty good idea what they will be getting with Zeller. He will be a 4 in the NBA. Zeller is all about effort. He is at his best when his team is getting up and down the court. Where he will need the most work is on his half court offensive post moves and shoring up that 15-18 foot jumper. Those are both skills that can be learned/taught. What you can't learn is being a 7 footer with great feet and athleticism. He already has that. It won't bother me if he comes back next year because it will only bolster an already seemingly tough conference. I want the B1G to be considered the top conference each year because that can only help force Fran to keep improving the Hawks roster which makes it even more fun to watch.

Zeller won't get any higher than he would have been prior to this season. Now, he won't go any lower. I hope he stays, but whether he stays another 2 years, or leaves after this one, he'll probably get drafted in the same spot.

Please list the talent Indiana has next year without Zeller, Foles, Watford and possibly Oladipo. That's 4 starters and probably 3 NBA draft picks. The 4th guy only makes about half of his 3s. Yogi and Sheehey don't strike much fear in me. Throw Zeller in there and it's a better team but still not nearly as good as this year's version of the Hoosiers.

He is listed as the #4 pick on DraftExpress's mock draft. Oladipo is #7. Burke is #10.
When you are that high, you usually come out. Dakich said it the other nite...he almost has to come out.
Luke is not even in the league. Tyler stayed four years, and was a late lottery pick,so it is a crap shoot. Cody is better than them, imo, but no lock. It is a weak draft, so next year he could drop,or get hurt.

If he returns, IU has Perea,Ferrell,Ebell,Sheehey,Jurkin,Hollowell, and add some good recruits, like Fisher.
They will be good, not as good as this year, but top 4 in the league good. Zeller will be the best player in the league.

Zeller is a smart guy. Knows the mental facets of the game very well, especially when to flop.

Going pro is tough, hope he makes the right choice.

I believe he stood with the Seniors on Senior day.

Actually, they had Oladipo and Zeller out on the floor on Senior Day to honor the 1000 point scorers, but some felt it was a way to get them out there because they are gone.

Yeah, I remember seeing the picture quick during the game, of the four guys out there (Hull, Watford, Oladipo, and Zeller), and thought that must mean they are leaving.
