Heard on the OnIowa Live show Zeller is giving serious thought to coming back

I couldn't fault him for wanting to stay in school. I'm sure being the star BB player in Bloomington has a lot of perks, and if you don't have family financial issues, you may as well stay and have some fun. However, since he's probably asked every day if he's leaving, what else is he supposed to say? You wouldn't want to announce you're leaving and be a distraction to your team's quest for a championship so you say you're leaning towards staying and everyone is happy.

If both Zeller and Oladipo leave after this season then Indiana will be screwed next year with Hulls and Watford graduating. That is 2/3rds of their scoring!

But I cannot see them dropping any further then the middle of the pack as they have had a couple of really good recruiting classes back to back. They have 6 incoming freshman for next season and scout has 4 of them rated very high.

(this is where we miss herby)

He will need to get stronger to go up against NBA posts every day. Like someone else said, his half court game needs some work. That said, it would be easier for him to develop with NBA trainers and facilities without school work in the way. I wouldn't be shocked if he stays but I think it would be smarter for him to go pro. He has the athleticism and quick feet to be a good NBA player but imho he needs a few more years to develop before he will be able to consistently play in the NBA. So yeah basically I won't be shocked either way. He can stay and develop his physique and game or do it with an NBA team.

Another thing to consider is that he is a rockstar in college basketball. Everybody knows him, respects him, he's the best front court player out there most games he's in. That has to be tough to give up.

He'll be a roll player in the NBA, possibly solid starter some day. High probability he'll never approach stardom again the second after he leaves IU. But he'll be rich.
