Hawks Get Verbal from Pierschbacher!

I'm laughing at the posts on CyFan guaranteeing Ross will leave when the big boys come calling for him. Apparently they didn't see the ND and Okie offers. RP > Campos any day of the week and twice on game day Saturdays.

Kirk was at the Cedar Falls basketball game last night, watching Boettger. I thought maybe something was up with Ross too. Great news!
All this time I thought "cf84" stood for "Cyclone Fan 84"...and NOW you're tellin' me it means "Cedar Falls 84"??? I'm sorry for all of the mean comments and the bag of poop I set on fire before ringing the bell on your inbox...

Yeah, I've wondered if maybe that's not the best name to use here. I could see how that could be a little misleading. Hmm, maybe time for an alt?? Cedar Falls pipeline to U of Iowa, carry on!

I'd definitely try the alt thing...it's not like no one else around here's doing it!

The only reason he's going to Iowa is because ND took four OT in this class, and he was worried about playing time. Otherwise he would have went to South Bend.

Kinda like Iowa fans saying Lazard isnt going to stay committed to ISU when the big boys offer?

Scout.com: Pierschbacher Picks Iowa

"it came down to Iowa and Notre Dame," Pierschbacher said. "Coach (Brian) Kelly interviewing with the NFL, that just got me thinking that I wanted to play for the coach I committed to. If he doesn't go this year, maybe he'll go the next year after that."
The Irish also received commitments from four Scout.com four-star offensive tackles in the 2013 class.
"I just started to question if playing time would become an issue," Pierschbacher said. "I want to play. Coming into Iowa, I think I have a better chance to play earlier than Notre Dame."

says the almighty lordship of all football recruits. Funny, if you would read the thread he said there was more than one reason. I'll let you figure it out.

I already saw that.

I want a link to back up your claim thats the only reason he is coming to Iowa.

I can see that. However looking at the two, Lazard hasn't actually gotten any big offers yet. ISU, Iowa, and Nebby are his only three. Pierschbacher already had offers from two big name teams and he chose to stay home. Could Ross go if a big name SEC school called? Sure, but he has already shown that he has no issues with staying home. Will Lazard be able to resist the siren song if the SEC comes a knockin'?

I was at that game last night as well. I have never seen Ross P play FB but I saw him in the stands and that kid is huge. I watched Boettger play bb and I was not overwhlemed with his athleticism. Was that a normal game for him?

Or he realizes it ISU......

This is a big get for the Hawks. If Kurt and Co. can get a few more four stars (We are sitting well *knock on wood* with Scheel, McKinzey, Jones/Jackson/Wilbon/Mcaffery) this could be a really good class, despite the disappointment of the last couple years.

I have often thought the same with my screen name. Love the CF to Iowa pipeline.
