You're right, crunch time, and the defense seems to fold way too often.i didn’t say defense was the problem.
I said the defense Can’t get a stop when it’s needed.
There’s a difference between the two and at crunch time rarely do they deliver.

Agree. The offense was brutal as usual except for maybe a half a quarter.Fine. They gave up tons of yards and 24 points. Not great.
We lost because we didnt score early, with short fields and great field position early. We allowed them to not have to throw except 2 deep shots, they didnt have to.

Let me guess, you love Kirk no matter what? Thanks for being the first to do this. Was it a copy/paste or did you have to type it

WTF?!? Illinois just beat MSU on the road!!
Unfortunately, many on this board don’t seem to accept what most can see. Thanks for being the first to do this. Was it a copy/paste or did you have to type it
Dude, it's so depressing to see teams like Minnesota & Illinois who we have owned have such fun and exciting football this year like Northwestern last season, and we at Iowa are just so blah, vanilla and boring. Plus, you have these fans on here who keep making excuses for Kirk.We are going to have our hands full with them
And the gophers
Maybe we can beat the huskers on the road
Most likely
However, I wouldn't bet on it
DD Thompson probably lives his life like Iowa football under Kirk, very average and boringUnfortunately, many on this board don’t seem to accept what most can see.
and it took our coaches that long to figure it out?!?I think what we saw today was Wisky just bigger stronger up front and in the backfield. It took 4 to 5 guys to get Taylor stopped and even then there were numerous times he didn't even get to the ground. We exposed their secondary but we didn't attack them until the 3rd quarter and it cost us.

Iowa Football under Kirk Ferentz....stuck in the mud and spinning the wheels en route to another mediocre season while Kirk collects his $4 million pay check every year.

Iowa had two chances to win the game. Instead of taking FG’s, the one in the first half and the one late in the game. When is KF going to get a killer mentality? This game was winnable if you only go for the jugular. This style of football will keep you from getting fired in the NFL. Not so in Kirks case. He could go for it and lose, but at least you tried to win. Keeping it close will cause you more losses than trying to blow someone out. The way to beat Wisconsin is to get them playing from behind. Make them beat you with the pass. Kirk and Co. played right into their hands. Final score should have been 31-22.
