Hawks and B10 Tourney

I have a feeling that the Hawks will run the b10 tournament. They are soooo close to being a great team. I just see so much in the freshmen that are playing like upperclassmen. Could be the surprise of the B10 as well as the NCAA. Can we say Cinderella?
 
What sucks is we're a good enough team right now to afford a loss like tonight IF we didn't struggle so bad at the beginning of the year. Every since the first 8 games or so, we've looked like a 6 or 7 seed in the tourney. We just needed to play like a 4 seed from that point on to sneak in and that's too much to ask. Sucks balls.

Don't think Big10 is happening. Nobody is scary good but unless Hawks have a top four bye (they won't) it's not going to happen.

And I think your adjective is a wee- bit inflated.
 
Iowa hasn't run in any direction other than out the door when it comes to this tournament. No exception this year. I would like it but I'm not seeing it.
 
I've said all along how much I admire this team's short memory, fearlessness and grit. Those attributes will always give them a puncher's chance. However, it really comes down to Jok doing what he did in the 2nd half, everyone giving a sustained effort, and competently defending (preventing) the dribble-drive.

As for the B14 tourney ... I'd be happy if they show up for the first game looking prepared, for a change.;) Reality is, they're probably going to be 1-1, so, they're not going anywhere via the B14 tourney.

It's more important that they just finish the season being who they are. Expecting wings over Illannoy and PSU. If they upset just one of MSU, Indy, Terps or Wiscy that should get them in the NIT.
 
we have won 6 games in BT and have 6 more games. At MS, Maryland, and Wisc. Cannot see us winning any of those. Home games Ill, Ind.,and Penn State. We might win 1-2 of those. That being the case we will be seeded very low and will 1 and gone in BT tournament. I like the potential of this team but it will next year before we get to the big dance.

Our problems in the Big 10 tourney was last year's senior class being mentally weak. All 3 instances of us getting knocked out early were times where we were big favorites in the first game and thought we could skate through that round. This year's team won't have that mindset. We might lose because we aren't better than the team we're playing, but it will have nothing to do with the last team's failures.
