Win over Illinois, I don't care how good the interim coach is, no way Illinois is anything but a dumpster fire this season

Win over NW, but it's a close one with high scores

Win over MD, they just aren't returning anybody scary

Win over Indy

Loss to Minn. I want the pig back, but i don't see it

Win over Purdue, Hazel is fired that night after the game

Loss to Nebraska, and I don't think it's close

9-3 in regular season... I don't know all the ins and outs of bowl selection, so I have no idea. Best guess, loss in a bowl, 9-4 overall.

I'm surprised to see 5 - 7 as the worst prediction so far. I'm going with 3 - 9. Wins will be over North Texas, Ill, and Purdue. I think that early losses to Ill St and ISU will devastate the team and start a downward spiral. I think that we have a severe lack of talent and depth. The OL is going to be scary bad I'm afraid. Mock away I don't care. This is how I see it. The good news is that I'd be pleasantly surprised with 7 or more wins like many of you are predicting.

I love how you say, "yes, the last 5 years have sucked..." Completely validating my point. No coach deserves that many consecutive bad seasons.

The incoming president will also most likely want to see graduation rates. Under Ferentz Iowa has the third highest graduation rate in the Big Ten, Northwestern leads it followed by Penn St. Iowa is a very close third.

i just have an all around bad feeling about this year. Basically our entire offense scares me. I'm not sure that we're going to be able to put up the kind of numbers that are needed for a good season. I'll 7-5 but 4-8 wouldn't surprise me.

I gotta admit, those who said 1-3 non-con were--and prolly still are--crackpots.

But 2-2 wouldn't have shocked me. Frankly, I'm MORE shocked by 3-0 than I would have been with 2-2...
