Open tomorrow vs Ohio St. in quarterfinals. Tough draw actually. Ohio St is finally playing to their abilities. Should be a great game. It will be on Big 10 network at 7:30.

Go Hawks!

These 2 teams shouldn't be meeting this early...both hit an inexplicable rough patch and now have their mojo back...should be a great game.

I know I'm in the minority, but I really do look forward to watching the women play. Seriously, they're fun to watch! Can't wait for the game!

Yeah, for as bad of a season as they've had, OSU actually swept MSU, and beat PSU by 22 a couple of weeks ago. And if we sag on Lavender again, she'll just dump off to Adams again, so we'll need a new defensive strategy.

Prahalis actually seems to have developed a shred of emotional control, finally.

Great ball by two very good teams. Hard to beat 7 three's, three in the last couple of minutes. Too bad to lose when playing such good ball.

We just kept leaving Johnson wide open. You can't do that with a shooter like her. Printy had one hell of a second half though, wow!

Just a really tough draw. Honestly, I think that the Hawks and Buckeyes are still the two best teams in the Big Ten. Both hit some rough stretches this season, but now they're playing the way everybody expected them to all year.

I love me some Kachine!!

Unfortunately Jantel Lavender took Kachine completely out of the game on the offensive end 2/15 shooting and 7 points. Gutsy move by Foster of OSU to have her Lavender guard her, but it paid off big. Printy kept us in the game tonight and gave us a chance to win.

This. Kach just had nowhere to go. OSU's defense was smothering all game. We really had to work to get good looks from the outside. Printy's big three was from WAY downtown, but that was the only open look she could get.

But this was still a great game. I thought it was going to get out of hand when OSU went up 12. But this team simply has no quit in them!

Bummer. Was bartending all night and this is not what I was hoping to read when I got home...

How could none of the Iowa girls not see Johnson standing alone in the corner? Why didn't Bluder tell one girl to get in Johnson's face and not leave her?

I didn't see the game, but did see the previous Iowa-OSU game. OSU's double post lineup is a huge mismatch for us because we only have one post on the roster over 6'1" (Morgan Johnson, who I like but is overmatched against OSU). Our guards pretty much have to sag in on the Lavender-Adams combo, and hope the OSU guards aren't hitting. Alternatively, you can play them straight up and let Lavender kill you inside. Pick your poison.

Interesting move putting Lavender on Alexander. Lavender really is pretty athletic, and I'm not surprised it was successful. On the other hand, Adams might be the most immobile center to ever play WBB, and I'm disappointed that Morgan Johnson, who is about 5000 times more agile than Adams, couldn't take more advantage of that matchup.

Hope we can make a nice run in the NCAA's. I think the meatgrinder we've been through in conference will pay dividends in the post season.

Johnson was a killer for us...she was pretty darn close to being a Hawkeye and would have been had the Buckeyes not offered late in the game.

Iowa should be a 5 seed...i cannot see anything worse than a 6.
