Has anyone cared about Iowa football since 2010? minus Beathard's perfect season?

Iowa hasn't "sucked" since 2010 (ok, they did in 2012) but they've been pretty average, and pretty much completely irrelevant nationally. ZERO bowl wins since 2010, and only one season since '09 where they finished the year ranked (2015).

I'll give you 2015 as a terrific season, but I basically view that one as Iowa doing a great job against a manageable schedule. It never felt all that legit to me in terms of thinking Iowa was really ever a Top 5 team. They didn't play the big boys from the east. They had a sound win @NW that year, and the marquee victory on the schedule was the win in Madison that was more reminiscent of that 6-4 barn burner @PSU back in '04. Was Iowa a good team that year? Sure. Great? Not by half.

Iowa's program isn't the embarrassment some make it out to be, but 2002-04 were KF's glory days (and 08-09). That's looking pretty distant in the rear view mirror at this point. His best days are behind him, as a head coach, IMO.

Hard to disagree with this.

I have always cared about Iowa football but the older I get the less it bothers me when they don't do well. I used to get very upset after a loss and now not so much. I enjoy watching them play and feel blessed I have the opportunity. Maybe realizing that having the performance of 18-21 year old kids dictate how my weekend and week goes is silly helped change that or maybe by having kids help calm me down. I am still a big fan but the importance in my life is for sure different.

I compare KF's career to a couple of guys: Mark Richt and Frank Beamer. Beamer had a stretch between 04-11 where he won double digit games. The last 4 years of the Beamer regime Va. Tech was basically a 7-6 program. I think to myself which would I rather have a condensed version like Beamer or a spread out version like KF? Fuentes(Beamer's successor) has the program at a 8 or 9 win clip now. If you want to do the hindsight thing.

i haven't cared about Iowa football since we lost to wisconsin in 2010 in the fourth via fake punt.... ever since then iowa hasn't had the same feel

it was cool to see CJ win the starting role and have an undefeated season and in the process saving KF from getting fired...

CJ single handily won the first few games that year until he got injured and still was a champ for taking a million unnecessary sacks and winning games....

Iowa has sucked for awhile imo... i pretend to be a fan since its a sin in iowa city to not give a crap, but idk how you guys enjoy watching this

i fell asleep by the way during the NW game lol

I would wonder then why you are still watching Iowa football games and also posting on here if you haven’t cared for 7 years.

I honestly can't tell you what happened last season besides vandenburg getting hurt and us throwing to a little 5'9" white guy from the state of Iowa can't remember his name.... he was our best receiver

I think we beat michigan on one of the luckiest games i've ever seen........when we muffed the punt and then our punter picked it up and ran and before he got tackled he tripped over himself and did a flip and the guy that tackled him got thrown out for targeting...THAT WAS HILARIOUS... (i didn't see the whole game, but we weren't moving the ball) also michigan isn't good and hasn't been good for idk how long

we injured their QB and it was the horrible game, we had literally no offense besides wadley making a play (just like this year).. it didn't feel right to win like that

i remember getting blown out in every bowl game....and I was doing something else by half time

this year I haven't watched a game from start to finish
