People seem to forget that sweatervest got into some trouble at Youngstown St as well. Something about a certain high-profile player getting booster money. If this happened at Y State, I have no doubt his OSU program has been shady his whole tenure.

Jim Tressel should be let go at OSU.
Yes. And the players involved should be ruled ineligible for 2011.
And OSU should be banned from Big Ten Title game,and a bowl for 2011.
Need to get their attention at OSU...clearly, the boosters are running roughshod and the leaders of the program are willfully ignoring it.
This kind of penalty needs to be slapped on them...and it needs to be made clear that it is a warning shot...mess up again,and it gets much worse!
OSU would survive without Tressel,and he is probably worth 20 million,so he will also survive just fine.
C'mon OSU,Big Ten and NCAA....do the right thing for a change!

OSU likes things just the way they are, the big ten likes things just the way they are, this is demonstrated by the fact that they were willing to go to pretty much any length to put UM and OSU in seperate divisions (as far as the big ten is concerned its OSU, UM and everyone else can go **** themselves). The only entity that might possibly do anything of a substance is the NCAA, do they have the stones to nail OSU just two years after making an example of USC? I guess we'll find out.

But regardless, I agree. I loathe tOSU and hope they get b!tch-slapped. NCAA did it to scUM, MSU, USC...tOSU isn't too big to be taken down (as Jon said)

Good at reading comprehension? It addresses that fact in the article. Says how he thought the world of him back then and how he thought Tressel positively impacted many young men. I would take it as the guy doesn't agree with what Tressel has been doing lately kind of thing (in other words, he has changed). Amazing what you have to do when you go up against an SEC team in the NC game. Compromises all of your ethics. Kirk's seems to be the only B1G coach that has a good record in bowl games against the $EC.

Except, as mentioned, Tressel had issues at Youngstown State too. Then there was the whole Maurice Clarett in just Tressel's second year. Tressel hasn't changed one bit in the last 10 years. The only thing that HAS changed is the nation's perception of him. But he's the same man and coach that he ever was.

Yeah, good point. The article mentions nothing about his reputation at Youngstown State, so unless one already knew about it, they wouldn't know that Mr. Oregon State was being a hypocrite. (me)
