Interesting... so 2 against the rest of Hawkeye Nation pretty much... Sounds about right. The only person Barta needs in his corner is who he has. Go figure.

Unless fans stay home (which is punishing the players totally unfairly) nothing changes. Those guys could care less about the internet mafia or the media that they can muzzle if they want. The bubble they put themselves in and live in is pretty insulated.
 
And Barta still remains mute. So, first he lets the players answer questions, and then, he lets the President speak for him. What? Are they afraid of what he might say if asked a cold question?

The donors in question or people close to them are the ones putting out this info. It’s not BH or GB. The powerful folks at the U are in lock step.

All this during the one of the best seasons in a long time. Deace had a good point, in a season where Hawk fans should be celebrating, this stupid matter is creating divisions among the fans.

Gosh, the UI/Barta is bad at this!!!

Good point. Will these "powerful folks" continue to have lock jaw to go along with them being in lock step?

Replying to my own post, which is itself vain, but maybe we should take all this fallout, not as a divisive moment for fans over what is or is not a racial epithet, but as a unifying moment for the fans - spite/contempt for the, as Rob has put it, the "powerful folks" at the UI for their treatment of a good guy.
 
If Barta sides with King Kong his position will be at risk from a professor/student/outside protestors revolt.

He is hiding, waiting, calculating. Order others out to front line from his PC protected bunker.

Could you clarify what you mean? All of this didn't come from professors, students etc.

Do you think Barta cares what they think or is worried about them?
