Football at the college and pro level doesn't really have a handshake line. The game ends and players seek out who they may want to shake hands with. The head coaches usually do the same and once in a while (cough, Harbaugh) there might be an incident. But, there doesn't seem to be a need for a formalized hand shake line.
The NBA is the same. During the regular season, there's a wave between coaches and sometimes they shake hands. Some of the players will seek out others to say something. At the end of a playoff series, there's usually a coming together of players/coaches to show appreciation (not at the level of the NHL, but some level). But, no real handshake line.
It is amazing that the one place you never seem to have an issue in a handshake line is the NHL. Teams spend a 7 game series hitting each other at top speeds and getting into scrums at the net ... yet have the ability/acumen to stop at the end to slow down and shake the hand of every opponent. And, the starting goalies and captains usually are towards the end of line and they spend time talking to their counterparts. It's really cool when you think about it.
