Very interesting. Sounds like he is analytical and detailed. He,will improve. Remember: These first two games followed a year of no competition, recovery from surgery, learning a new system after 4 years at SD, and a step up in opponents. And, this was a huge pressure game. Patience, grasshopper.

He did improve from last week...44 to 83 yards. Most Iowa fans, like this homer, are OK with mediocrity. Its pathetic.
Iowa offense should be close to the bottom again in offensive production. Yay team!

Down 3, 1:54 left on the clock. If you have a competent quarterback, and a competent offense, you like your chances of at least taking it into overtime. NOT IOWA. We all knew the game was over when Konrardy made that 54 yard kick.

We did have some opportunities. Wetjen falling out of his cut lead to an interception which lead to a touch down and short field. I think Gill had a couple drops. Losing Ostrenga I also think hurt. Nothing against Large, but Ostrenga seems the most well rounded as tight end.
They made a few plays we did not. And of course the 17 yard tipped completion on their final drive was the nail in the coffin which you just shake your head. And I hate moral victories. But the defense played fairly well overall. Clones had 24 more yards than us. (238-214).
I hate saying this, this was a pretty good Cyclone team. Several thought this game would not even be close. The game was decided in final 2 minutes of the 4th quarter with a 54 yard field goal.
I don't know, I was not happy with the loss. But I was not fuming like I was last year. You take away how flat we came out and we make a couple plays, it's a different ball game. Could of, should of, would of......regroup and improve.

UMass is 0-2 with their latest loss to Bryant 27-26. It was Bryant’s first time winning vs an FBS opponent.
