Surprised me a bit, too. I was listening to SiriusXM College Sports channel and the B1G game announcers seemed to think letting him go wasn't a great idea. Then again, he's a holdover from previous AD/administration.

The loss to Rutgers and getting worked in the BTT by Michigan probably ruined any chance of saving his job.

If they really wanted to hose their BB program, they would have announced it at the beginning of next season, then let him coach the entire season as a lame duck.
