I agree that if Wadley was out from injury then that's fine. What I said was I hope it was because of injury, because if it wasn't it was dumb.

The raider package has more dbacks on the field.
 
OMGOODNESS that was brutal. If we're gonna get burned you might as well knock the QB on his A$$. I'm just stunned with that performance.

and another LB and take away a DL or two. but when the other teams are successful on 3rd and 12 with crossing patterns (way too many times) they are crossing in front of the LBs or sit-downs in zone holes. The raider package is a mixed bag of results.

All may have some truth to it. But come on, Daniels did better than pretty good, 8 ypc, 200 yards, and 3 tds.

Agreed. It was better than pretty good. But man our oline opened up holes that Wadley would have housed. He's not leading the big 10 in ypc by accident. Again if he was held out for injury than no biggie. I don't blame them after what happened with Danials coming back too early. I just really really hope it was because of the injury.

I'm sure it was. There was no reason to force him back into action tonight, not with Canzeri and Daniels both back and Daniels putting on his best Shonn Greene impersonation. I'd bet Wadley could have played if necessary, but it wasn't necessary. Let him rest up so he's not hobbled for weeks like Daniels was.

Good point. Ferentz has, in the past, made questionable decisions on players and reps. but I do think the backs we had got the job done (not sure what our final rushing numbers were - I feel like they were fine).
 
Phil better come up with something to put more pressure on the next two QB's. What went down tonight simply cannot happen again.
 
Well, if Maybin would quit biting on every play fake in the book that game may not have been so close.

Iowa better make a monumental effort to find some CBs because If King leaves for the NFL. IMO the cupboard is bare. And some DEs that can rush the QB.

The MN coach said, "all defenses have weaknesses. You find out what they are and you exploit them," and that's exactly what they did.

Needed to blitz the hell out of Leidner. Hell Iowa was giving up big plays anyway. When they did blitz, which wasn't much, he wasn't even close to accurate and a few should've been picked.

Cosign. All QBs are worse under pressure. Even a pedestrian college QB will pick you apart if he's unimpeded.

You can say we should be happy with a W and 10-0, fair enough. We had some outstanding O performances (didn't need Wadley and 40 points). CJ is truly the leader and gamer we've been missing. But we will never get out of Lincoln with that kind of D and lack of adjustment with a win. Making that QB look that great and marching on us 3x that i can think of should be embarrassing. We will not get out of Lincoln with missed field goal attempts either. Great day, proud of the record, but that was concerning to say the least knowing the competition we could potentially face down the road.
