awesome to be 10-0, but jeez was that a bad D effort and game plan.
MN has been inept all season on O and we made them look like heroes. That's poor man. We'd better come out next week with something better than that. It almost feels like the Goofballs won.

Our defense is back to having linebackers covering receivers on 3rd and long and we're back to playing the power back when our oline is opening huge holes. Daniels did pretty good, but there was 5 times or so where I thought if it was Canzeri or Wadley it would have been a touchdown.

I heard an interview where Wadley was really excited to play tonight. I really hope they held him out because of his injury. If not, Kirk is the only coach in the nation who leaves the leading per carry runningback in the Big 10 out of the game because there aren't enough carries to give him any.

He wasn't facing the Iowa defense the last 3 weeks when he has put up 300 yds a game was he?

We won. We ran the ball at will. If Wadley was not fully 100%, he was fine not playing. Canzeri and Daniels weren't getting stopped.

The d was not great. But everyone's big concern was that "Iowa would mess things up and lose". They messed a few things up and won. In a trophy game. Against a team that hates us.

Our LBs have been covering receivers on 3rd and long all season. By the time QBs are seniors they've seen Iowa and have had enough PT to be comfortable with throwing in the center of the field against the zone.

But I thought the same thing about Canzeri and Wadley. I especially wanted to see Wadley on some drives in the 2nd half with Minnie rush blitzing or diving to the ball on the handoff (the entire 2nd half). I could see Wadley one-juke and gone. Plus I think he deserved to be on the field with the games that he has had.

Yeah, I agree they can crawl back. But the last 3 games Minnie has played pretty well offensively and has given everyone a scrum. So their offense hasn't been at the suckitude level you started with. This wasn't all that shocking -- except the ease of Minnie's final drive inspired by the continuous I-O-W-A chant...
