Get...MIles...NOW

Les can't produce up to expectations with elite talent. Les wouldn't get elite talent to Iowa City. Les wouldn't do well at Iowa.

You up for a side bet on good old Les? Seems you think pretty highly of him, and I don't. I say wherever he is the next head man at, he won't improve significantly the team he goes to. Since you think elite coaches get elite players, and then produce with them, one would think you don't have a problem with this type of bet. Lets just track where he lands and go from there.

No side bet needed. If you think KF is a better coach than Miles you need to pay attention to college football outside of Iowa

So you'd rather have Ferentz at Iowa instead of Miles if you had the choice?

I would. But I am an apologist, admittedly. Miles has better coordinators and he's more unpredictable, beyond that, overall, I don't think he'd be any more successful at Iowa.

Its all conjecture. Apples to Hand grenades, cause Less ain't coming here

Haha I hope you're a relative of Ferentz.

You obviously don't understand why great coaches get great jobs. You probably would rather have Fran over Roy Williams too because anyone can get talent to North Carolina. Also Miles turned around Oklahoma State which is why LSU wanted him so I don't know why that is unimpressive to you

Oil money turned around OK State. Miles isn't a bad coach, he's solid, but in my opinion, he wouldn't be able to develop players well enough here. I do think he'd be a better recruiter, but not by as much as you think.

It's all conjecture. You guess is as good as mine. Maybe we are both wrong. We'll never know.

You are kidding right? You do realize that Louisiana is like a top 5 or 6 elite recruit producing state right? It goes Florida, Texas, California, Georgia (and then Ohio or Louisiana). Louisiana/LSU is always absolutely loaded with NFL talent.

Wow that says miles about their last coach. Great players but can't win, more or Less. :D

Meh, you can try to bait me all you want. I know more about football than you do for sure. You think the coaches that are born on 3rd base hit triples. I understand lazy thinking and many are guilty of it, so you aren't in that boat alone. I could name a dozen other coaches I'd take over Miles. I get why you don't wanna bet, it is a pretty sure loss for you. I would also bet that LSU dethrones Bama under the next head coach as well, as Herman is good at developing QB's and will recruit ever bit as well as Miles or even better. Bama doesn't own LSU because of players, they own LSU because of the coaches.

Bama players picked in the 1st, 2nd or 3rd round since '12 = 15
LSU players picked in the 1st, 2nd or 3rd round since '12 = 18

Overall draft picks since '12, LSU 32 Bama 32

When did I say Miles was a better coach than Saban? Thanks for proving my point about how good of a recruiter Miles is though. Oh wait you're theory is a coach who can't recruit but wins 8 games a year is better than a coach who recruits elite talent and only wins 10 games a year in the best conference in football.

Lol, you think KF recruits the same at LSU as he does at Iowa? You think Miles would recruit the same at Iowa as he does at LSU?

You keep pretending that coaching at LSU and Iowa is the same, that is what is funny.

I think Miles would get more talent and win more in Iowa City than KF does. I think KF would recruit worse to LSU and win less than Miles did. I really didn't know there was someone out there that would rather have KF than Miles if they had the choice and I'm not sure you even believe what you're saying which is why you're comparing Miles to Saban and Herman and not comparing Miles to KF

If Miles got more talent at Iowa, he wouldn't turn that into more wins. If KF got top 20 recruiting classes year after year, he would produce more than Miles did.

That is just my opinion, you disagree I think we both know where each of us stands.

If you had a choice to start a program you'd choose KF over Miles?

So would I. Thanks for answering my question though I knew you weren't that dumb :)

KF would be on the list over Miles. I'm not a slave to lazy thinking though, I would put many coaches like KF on that list who have to do More with less.....that is unlike Miles who does less with more.

Ok maybe you are that dumb

Miles has taken on 1 rebuilding project. In year 3 he won 9 games, then in year 4 regressed to 7 wins finishing 5th in the Big12 south division.

KF had to rebuild Iowa, and in year 3 he won 7 games, and in year 4 he won 11 games, went 8-0 in the B1G and won the toughest conference in the country..........

I don't wanna call you dumb, but it certainly seems to me that one of them has completely turned around a program in a short time......another one got to 9 wins, regressed, and then left.

Like I said there are a ton of coaches out there I would choose over Miles to rebuild a program and KF is just one of many.

If you're trolling kudos but otherwise take off the black and gold glasses man. Nobody in their right mind would choose KF over Miles if they had the choice

You would make a great politician......when presented with black and white facts of how one actually turned a program around, and another didn't you just ignore it.

Like I said, there are lots of coaches who have taken programs like Okie St., Iowa, and other like schools and make them very successful. Yet if I had one choice on a coach to take to build a program it would be Dantonio. I hate the guy, but dude just gets it done. Miles just doesn't get it done, never did at Okie St., and nobody in the country did less with more than him at LSU.
