Correct, OU is not that good defensively, still bad tackling (hard to believe what used to be one of their toughest claims and now they cant get guys who can take good angles, breakdown and wrap up). Question is whether they are better offensively and can score a bunch on ISU. I dont know as I havent watched them since their their early season problems

I'm just not sure Indiana is really that good, particularly with their QB out for the season. They beat Penn State on a very controversial play. Yes, they beat Wisconsin, but Wisconsin has been riddled by COVID and injuries. I'm not sold on Ohio State, either. I guess we will find out about Ohio State in the playoffs.

I don't really understand the love for Iowa State either. Yes, good team, but #7? I think Iowa would beat them handily right now.

Yeah in Indiana's win over PSU the cats had about 4 times as much yardage into the 4th qtr but made some dumb mistakes and IU forced them to make mistakes, the point being that a 'normal' PSU team doesnt have that small lead in the 4th but a 24 pt lead.

Yeah trying to rank teams this yr is about impossible. I mean the eye test is all we got and that's just subjective as all get out. As long as we are being honest it is what it is. Whole season is an asterisk yr anyway.

Like it or not. The CFP members do not erase their memories at the start of each year. If schools like Bama and Clemson and Ohio State have been consistently great for a decade, that is going to lead to members starting from an assumption that what they see out of them is real and should be rewarded. Indiana does not have that going for them. Maybe its not fair, but it is what it is.

They can show their meddle against Iowa next weekend.
