Game Preview, Prediction: Hawkeyes Look to Keep it Rolling Against ISU

The Hawks will grind it out on the ground and control the TOP. Stanley will use play action enough to keep the clowns off guard. Hockenson, Fant, and Smith-Marsette will pace the pass game. Easley makes a few catches for 1st downs. Brandon Smith finally catches a pass. Toren Young will get over 100 yds rushing. Kelly-Martin will not play. Sargent gets more valuable playing time. This ones over by the end of the 3rd quarter. Defense sacks qb 4 times forcing 2 fumbles, Hooker and Gervase get 1 int each. IOWA 38 ISU 16

These guys are just laying in the weeds ready to give everything they got to beat us.

Iowa State 30
IOWA 24

Every year hawkeye fans project a blow out
ISU lost Lazard and Campos. ISU has some other good receivers, but without Lazard on the field pulling a lot of attention, those WRs are going to find it more difficult to get open this year. Lazard was a damned special player. And Campos was a damned good tackle. Losing a guy like that and plugging in the next schlub off the bench at ISU can really impact your offense. Iowa had big losses with the LBs, Jackson and Wadley and I ain't saying we got replacements for them yet, but the d-line is salty as hell and when Iowa has a salty d-line that doesn't quit (2010) Iowa usually has a really good team that piss pounds ISU.

Good-Jones is at least as good as Campos. Kempt gets rid of it quickly. I don't see a ton of sacks in this game. I don't see a ton of rushing yards for ISU either, it'll be on Kempt to deliver it to the WR's for the win IMO.

Isn't Good-Jones switching from center to left tackle. Switching to the outside takes a bit of getting used to even if you are good.

I think Butler is better than Lazard, and all their wrs are big.
Dline HAS to get to kempt early and often or I think he'll really hurt us. Quick release and doesn't force much

If Iowa lets Kempt get the short passing game going, it will open up the run for Montgomery vs green LBs. Hawks will need to press the WRs which could open up deep shots to Butler. Even w a very good maybe even elite DL, their O could test the Hawks.

The key to this game is completion %. If Stanley can hit 60% of his passes, it’s lights out.

Anyone had a link to the infamous Ames video with the great water? I have a friend who needs to see it
Sadly it was taken down a day or two after it went viral. Really a shame, you make a video promoting your town then pull it down.

We Built Sioux City also seems to have disappeared. Sad.

Honestly I'm impressed with ISU's ability to essentially delete that video from the internet. You can't find it anywhere.

They should have embraced how bad and cheesy it was though.

I do have this:

All of you guys are wrong, unfortunately.

This is the best Iowa vs. little brother in the universe. Feel free to share with friends and family, and you can thank me when you finally catch your breath. It's NSFW for you snowflakes out there. No bitching since I warned you.

Behold...
