At the risk of hijacking the thread...

I don't mind burning shirts either, but make it count. What did Keenan Davis do last year that he couldn't have waited a year to do? Sure, he got game experience, got to block on a few running plays, and caught a whopping 4 balls. Was that worth burning the shirt? Why not give him a redshirt year, make him work hard in practice (especially blocking), and then bring him in this year as a RS Fresh to do what he did this year? Then you're preparing him 2 years for 3 years of productivity.

If you are going to burn the redshirt, burn it. Don't just singe (sp?) the frayed edges of the sleeve.

I'm honestly not sure if they didn't think he'd get more time this year. I thought he looked really good this year when he played and should've gotten more time. I don't know the reasons for his lack of time, but I'm ok with it. He'll get 2 years to be a stud.

I just wished they'd managed it so that he'd get 3.
