Go back and watch Goodson's run with 5:30 left in the 3rd. #17 was their right DE and was lined up across from LaPorta. The play went the other way and he was jogging to the play as Goodson went down. He slowed to a walk. The next thing you knew, he was on the ground. Total BS.

Yes, this is basically admitting they teach it against an up tempo offense.
Also, Iowa's offense depends on rhythm and flow, so these "injuries" upset the flow of their offense, not letting them build off of a good play. It doesn't have to be a matter of slowing down a fast offense or giving the defense a breather. If you can F with the rhythym of a team's offense, it can be a significant advantage.

Before moving to TX 8 years ago my wife and I had season tix 5th row on visitors side on roughly 40 yard line. I witnessed on more than one occasion MSU’s Douchetonio and staff instruct their players to feign injuries and then celebrate and laugh as they jogged off the field. Yet another bar setting POS coach/human being.

Feigning injuries in football is bad for the game and players safety. It’s the sports world equivalent to the little boy who cried wolf parable. The best solution would be to make players sit out for more than 1 play (probably until change of possession). Let a team burn a TO to avoid the player sitting. That sucks for guys that get the wind knocked out of them, but in the interest of safety, if you are hurt enough to stop the game, maybe it’s ok for you to grab some water and catch your breath.
