No excuse for Jok sitting like he did..


 
That is a possibility... however Adam woodbury going 1-4 from the free throw line at a key stretch in Overtime was a huge killer also.
 
No reason why Gabe and Jok sat as much as they did.

Today really make me lose some faith in Fran. No excuse to lose this game under any circumstances.
 
absolutely no reason Woody stays on the floor at the end of reg and in OT, I still can't believe it. This team tanks 2 years in a row....
 
End of game management was terrible. Every single one of us would have told our players to not intentionally foul twice in OT. Also, Oglesby shouldn't be in over Jok just because he actually hit a couple. Jok is way more likely to hit an open three than Josh. I don't know what they hell that was today.
 
Fran's offense is one of the worst I've ever seen. Stand and throw it around the outside. I've said it from the day he was hired. Unless he can bring a lot better recruits in, will never get to the level to win a conference championship. Our guard skill level is at the bottom.

Fran needs to study these kids psychology more. Maybe we should donate a set of rohshack prints for him to have on recruiting trail.

Fran lost me after last year's meltdown. That team was talented enough to make the Sweet 16. The only thing that held it back was manufactured crisis by Fran and complete mismanagement of the roster.

He's had enough time to prove himself....time to move on...

That was the team (including White) just having mental meltdowns... Fran wasn't telling them to foul.
 
I've been a big supporter of Fran since he was hired. But today was the final straw. This is ridiculous.

For whatever reason there is a "meltdown atmosphere" associated with this program. I think the coach has something to do with that. Sure, the players were morons for fouling in those situations but it's a coach's job to teach his players not to be basketball morons.
 
100% agree with this post. I like the up place style he brings............where was that, sure didn't see that today??? The fact that he continues to play JO as much as he isn't aware of what everyone else in hawkeyenation is. We went from at least the 10 minute mark to 2 minutes left in OT without subbing. WHY?? Woody missed free throws cause he was tired. Ogelsby was burnt by Demps multiple time. It is time to move on we have peaked and will never be able to be any better than average in the big 10 under his leadership.
 
Playing Oglesby does not bother me, he made 2 in a row and was drawing a lot of attention. My issue is sticking with Woodbury, he blew 2 easy lay ups by trying to dunk it in and then missed all 4 free throws in OT. Olesani is more athletic and would have finished.
