but people acting like it's some kind of no brainer that Iowa wins if Fran makes some different subs are fooling themselves.

IMO Iowa would have cruised to a no worse than 6th seed last season if Fran knew how to better manage his Subs patterns. I've never been impressed with Fran's substitutions.

I don't disagree with that and I think he's playing to many again this year.

I'm all for a 7/8 man rotation I just don't think subbing was the reason they lost at NW because all of our guys have huge holes in their game except Utoff.

Well, before the season started i predicted a 9th to 11th place BIG finish. Then i let the glimpse of success blind me yet again. Now its looking more and more like my pre-season prediction is coming true.

Has anyone else noticed the (large and growing) part of our fanbase which apparently predicts we will suck each year and then uses that depressing prediction as an excuse to suck?!?

If Fran makes one more stupid pass or turnover down the stretch when we have a lead, I want him fired. You are winning by 6 or 8, and have 5 chances to extend your lead and Fran keeps turning it over. What the hell.

I agree, if Fran misses three front ends of one and ones on the same possession down the court, he will lose me as well. Certainly Fran controls Woody, White and Gesell on on those FT's right??? Maybe like reomotely?

Can't erase the 2 bad loses at the time this thread was started. It was a low point. However this is why message boards are so much fun. A tetter totter of I told you so's...

Furthermore this thread wasn't a hate thread towards Fran being fired it was directly with regards to his whacky *** substutitons/lineups we see and sitting Jok and Gabe like he did against Northwestern. Time will tell but odds pretty damn high that this won't be the last time.
