For Iowa's Post-Season, is it Big Ten Title Game or Bust?

CBI costs about 60k to play... Easily make that up in admission and consessions.

No Big 10 team has ever played in the CBI or CIT. I doubt Iowa will want to play in it this year. It's a mid major tournament

I said yesterday that Iowa had to win today to have any shot of going to the NIT. I was called an idiot. Jon Miller says the same thing, dude's a genius. Go figure

CIT is mid-major.
CBI has had Big East, PAC12, and ACC teams in it.

It's going to be stupid when Northwestern gets in the NIT and we don't because they played and lost to a bunch of good teams. That makes sense.

God the RPI sucks.

When did Iowa play and lose to a bunch of good teams?

Iowa was #10 in conference SOS, only played the co-champs once (UM, MSU, OSU). They also played one of the weakest non-confs schedules in the nation.

Maybe I'm rehashing something already said, but the outcome of the NW-Minn game couldn't have turned out worse for the Hawks today. Not only does it move NW down into the NIT, it moves Minnesota up with a comparable, if not better resume than Iowa. IMO, at this point NW, Illinois, and Minnesota all have better chances of making the NIT then Iowa does. Hard to imagine 3 or 4 teams from the B1G in the NIT although stranger things have happened.

If NW made the tournament it would have knocked someone else to the NIT and from the looks of things (nitology which follows this stuff for some reason) Minnesota was probably in anyways.

Iowa beat good teams. Iowa has 4 wins that are better than any Northwestern win aside from the Michigan State game but one game means nothing to me and yeah, I know we have bad losses and they don't and that should hurt us but they should also have to beat someone who is better than freaking LSU or Tulsa

The CBI has had only 2 teams major teams in it a year. So Iowa would have to be one of the two and the Big 10 doesn't like their teams playing in the tournament.

Pac 12 is really the only conference to have multiple teams play in the CBI and they aren't wanting any teams to play in that again. It's going to be a mid major only tournament

Like I've said all along, it's NIT or NCAA. Win today and we are on the bubble of the NIT, and hopefully in
