What's on the first tailgate menu for this Saturday? We have a late afternoon game so what are you going to have for grub or on the grill/smoker for supper? Recipes allowed!

Start off with breakfast burritos followed by Bush light. I'll start smoking butt around 9:00 as that is my forte and do catering. I am told it is great but end up giving it to other fans because I enjoy doing it. Did I mention Bush light.

Saturday morn scotch eggs after some questionable decisions Friday night.

I think I will hit Sprouts and get more of their green chile brats and some andouille sausage that I had the past two weekends. Quite tasty and doesn’t break the bank. Pick up some sweet corn as well. Make a big dish of mac and cheese.

A beer batter dip before the deep fry? At least that’s a mod that I’d take a stab at.

Fry I know you said you go to okiboji. Is that your neck of the woods? I'm an Algona boy born and bred. Lived in Elkhart by Ankeny for years until moving back to take care of elderly father.

Dry breading. Usually flour and cornmeal. They’re amazing.

You wrap the egg in ground sausage, roll in flour, then egg wash, then the flour/cornmeal mixture. Then fry.
