Thats what is so fricking baffling about today......no pattern of bs play for over a month now.It reminded me of the Rutgers game in January.

We were tight from the get go, maybe overconfident. Had to catch it on the radio and you could sense it just by listening. Not the popular thing to say but true. We couldn't throw it in the ocean today. We played tight and the longer the game went, the tighter we got. It manifested itself in the shooting.
Takes a hell of a fan to enjoy someone elses losses more than your own teams wins. The one thing that Lute always taught and that was that you wanted the majority of your points to come from within the lane.
If you can pass the ball around and eventually work it into the lane, then you have a much higher percentage shot.
Of course you need to have a center who can average more than five points a game and can defend the rim. Not just stand there and let them pass it in right under the basket or drive right to the basket on a inbounds play.
I trust seemed like Iowa’s big men weren’t into the game today. Terribly disappointing loss.
How many more NCAA turds does Fran get to lay before the carpet is pulled out from beneath his feet? March madness is what the whole season aims at. Might as.well blindfold Fran, spin him around fifty times and have him shoot an arrow and try to hit a bulls eye. Since it’s Fran and tournament time to make it more realistic we won’t even set out a bullseye.
Cheer up everyone all of the Cyclone fans are laughing their asses off at Hawkeye Nation right now.
Didn't use them in the first half either. Unfathomable.3 TO’s remaining w/ :34 in the game and an offense that can not run a successful set………epic failure!
Meanwhile the TO Mooney took early in the second half turned out to be a stroke of genius.Didn't use them in the first half either. Unfathomable.
The lob to Keegan was a thing of beauty.3 TO’s remaining w/ :34 in the game and an offense that can not run a successful set………epic failure!
THE FANS RAN OFF DAVIS. THEN THEY RAN OFF ALFORD. IT JUST KEEPS GOING DOWNHILL, BUT I WOULD TRY TO BRING BACK ALFORD AND MAYBE KENO DAVIS AS AN ASSISTANT IF WE CAN GET THEM. AND PROBABLY BJ ARMSTRONG TOO.
Exactly my point. It was just too late. The lob to Keegan was a thing of beauty.
It's absolutely perplexing. They made a HELL of a run to win against pretty strong teams four days in a row.Fran was calm when he should have been mad today, early on he should have pulled a couple of guys for not getting back on Defense, he didn't. In comparison the ND coach looked like he was placing some bets and ordering take out last night when he coached. He was hilarious, all smiles and keeping his team loose, and they executed and weren't afraid to shoot the ball. Don't know if Fran can adjust his demeaner as needed for his team. That being said have not seen Kris or Keegan struggle like they did today, ever. The Defense was good enough. Can't understand where the confidence goes come NCAA time.
Ya didn't see the struggle coming. Keegan was wide open on half his shots, had three days rest just like the Spiders. Then Sanfort, then Conner, then Perkins. It's a lot easier playing defense against a team who isn't hitting their outside shots. The coach was open about taking JBo and Keegan out of the game. The problem was they took themselves out of it.Thats what is so fricking baffling about today......no pattern of bs play for over a month now.
FRAN IS LIKE AN ABOVE AVERAGE MLB HITTER GOING UP AGAINST A REALLY GOOD PITCHER. THE FIRST TIME HE SEES SOMEONE, HE IS SCREWED, BUT ONCE HE GETS SOME LOOKS, HE CAN USUALLY FIGURE OUT A WAY TO MAKE SOMETHING HAPPEN.Fran was calm when he should have been mad today, early on he should have pulled a couple of guys for not getting back on Defense, he didn't. Keegan actually struggled worse against Iowa State. Much worse. And Richmond appeared to study that game film early and often.Fran was calm when he should have been mad today, early on he should have pulled a couple of guys for not getting back on Defense, he didn't. Agree they were not aggressive. Did not push the ball up the court as usual and settled. It's absolutely perplexing. They made a HELL of a run to win against pretty strong teams four days in a row.
They go into the NCAA tourney on Valium. I don't get it
Unfortunately that’s the way some of these people are. The old saying is so true “Misery enjoys company..”Takes a hell of a fan to enjoy someone elses losses more than your own teams wins.
And it's not just the fans. Allan Lazard was happier to see Iowa getting clobbered in the Rose Bowl that he was disappointed that he on his couch new years day.

BUT HE'S JUST LOST AS SHIT THE FIRST TIME FACING SOMEONE WHO IS A REALLY GOOD COACH WHO HAS A TEAM THAT HAS REPS UNDER THEIR BELT. WE'VE SEEN IT HIS WHOLE CAREER. WE SAW IT AGAINST JAY WRIGHT IN THE HISTORIC BATTLE 4 ATLANTIS. WE SAW IT LAST YEAR AGAINST GONZAGA. WE SAW IT AGAINST BAYLOR IN THE NIT FINAL. WE HAVE SEEN IT EVERY YEAR IN THE TOURNAMENT. IT JUST IS WHAT IT IS.
