Dude, you have no idea what decisions he made or what his actions were. All we know for sure is he was walking somewhere whe i.toxicated. I got a public intox in college. Walking home from the vine with about four other doods. We were all joking around having a good time, Mike Larson makes wise crack about my mother and I tackle him into the grass of a yard just joking around. The coppers handed out five public intox tickets right there. That kind of stuff happens every night in Iowa city.

Now if it comes to light they found him passed out in a bar or something or he was in a fight with someone then that is different. But from whats come out that doesnt appear to be the case.

Did you fight it in court? Did you call Ron Christensen to bail you out?

I think we should be more worried that the Hawk's starting CB and punt returner can't outrun the IC PoPo.

Punt returners from the SEC don't get caught in a foot race with five-O.
 
If it's the first incident they've had, and it truly is some BS public intoxication charge, they should pay...but not sit out a game. It makes it worse that it's in season.
 
Hyde made a bad choice... Its not like he knocked over a liquor store... Pay the fine, sit out a game and man up! Hyde needs to act like a young man with some honor, not a spoiled punk...
 
He can drink, sure, but as a captain of the football team, he has higher expectations. He should have left when asked, not given the bar staff any crap, and not run from the police. Three poor choices made. Drink at home during the season would have been the best choice

Stupid. Immature. Kirk may or may not make an example of him. If he does it is deserved.
 
Didn't Dantonio also sit someone for a quarter for this type of thing. I seem to remember he punished someone for an off the field incident by benching him for a quarter. OOOOHhh, he's a tough guy with high moral character.
