Ferentz: Northwestern loss ‘most representative’

Also, when your coach starts talking about you being evenly matched with NW, its time to start looking for a new coach. ESPECIALLY when your guy us making 3+ million per year.

One of the things as far as execution goes IMO, goes hand in hand with the fact that in terms of experience this was one of the youngest teams KF has had. We all knew it, and KF even acknowledged such prior to the season starting. Not allowing it to be an excuse, but I think people's opinion is that we under preformed last year and I simply don't think thats the case. I think we did the best with what we had. That said KF's responsible for bring in players to his system as well and while I think it was obvious how the youth showed last year, it's also his repsonsiblity to develop players so they're ready when it's their turn and unfortunately I didn't think that happened last year.
I refuse to believe this.

KF always manages to say something that has me shaking my head -

"...we were wondering if (Mark) Weisman would block. We found out he would block. Since then, obviously, we found out he can run the ball, too."

So, he had no clue starting the season that Weisman was was the best 'football player' on that side of the ball?

Whats false Ghost?

First of all, not too many people are gonna confuse me wit teh ghost. One of us is fairly funny, whilst the other is merely mildly amusing. Good try tho.
Secondly, if you're talking of Fitz, you're off on the salary.
Third, you're claim that top talent is needed to make a pro form offense work/good is also not true.

Are you also shaking your head at all the schools that failed to recruit him, at Air Force for letting him get away, the recruiting services for missing on his overall ranking, or the RB coach for not moving him to tailback sooner?
Because if you hold it against KirFer, you should also hold it against everyone that missed the bus on the Hebrew Hammer.
Jus sayin'

I thought the Penn St game was the most representative. A night game that started out with an electric atmosphere, then turned into one of the most embarrassing one sided ***-whippings I've ever witnessed.

To top it off, mule stubborn KF refused to let any other QB take even one snap during the 38-14 debacle.

What is more important than execution ? In sports, buisness, Goverment, Life, ? Luck maybe
Hope you don't mind me inserting numbers to empahisize that they all three overshadow player execution, and are much more important to winning games. Please tell us you aren't buying the ferentz spin. Every time his team sucks he blames player execution instead of taking responsibility. I've always hated that about him.

To me, any talk coming from Kirk or the players simply does not matter. WHat will matter will be what we see on the field. You can talk all you want about how "hard the players are working" etc. Stuff you want to hear, but nobody truly knows how this bunch of 18-22 year olds will perform once the season starts. The one positive: We can't be any worse than last season. Keeping the faith Kirk can turn this around again for a third time .... The clock is ticking Kirk ...

This....

Ok, I give up. Coaching and offensive schemes don't matter. It's all player execution. If the coaching and offensive system sucks, that does not matter. The only thing that matters in winning football games is player execution.

Thanks for making such compelling arguments. You all have finally won me over.

The thing is... no one said this Freed. You're the one who put your foot in your mouth by saying how the players perform isn't near as important as coaching when it comes to winning games. People are just correcting you on that statement because it wasn't very well thought out. No one is saying that the coaching and play-calling doesn't matter. Throw a mini-tantrum if you want.

You say that you weren't thinking of Ferentz when you made that statement... sure buddy! That's like me saying I don't think about what it would be like to bang Megan Fox every time her name is mentioned (oops just thought about it again). You've spent the last several months worth of posting on here deflecting damn near every single topic back onto your dislike of KF, yet you weren't thinking of him this time? Please... haven't you ever heard of the boy who cried wolf? It's pretty hard to believe you weren't, once again, trying to point your finger towards the Captain.

Come on Freed We all know game plan is important as well as coaching. As 33 so artfully said talant helps. But without execution you dont have anything. Except luck. However part of good execution come from good coaching. That might have been a better argument for ya. But in situations like the C Michigan game last year. It was all on players not executing. No one told CJ ( I think it was him ) to run from the ball. No one told a 5th year sr OL to get a stupid personel foul that put them in F.G. range

Think I got you figured out. You are a ferentz defender in disguise. It's impossible to rationalize with you folk. Please know that I'm not trying to influence you at all.

And it must bother you the posts that I write or you wouldn't b-tch about them all the time. Guess what? You ain't gonna stop me. So go on and keep crying like a little girl whenever you read something by me.
