This is the downside to the KF system and always has been....
Since we became relevant in 2001, can you even get to the 2nd hand when counting games we've been just absolutely destroyed in? Without going back and looking at each year, I'm not sure you can.
On the flipside, though, KF has the most straight-up losses against double digit underdogs of any other P5 school.
If you go back to Hayden, yes, he almost always beat up on the little guys....I think there was a point in 1995 or 1996 where he owned an 18 game winning streak against ISU, a 17 game winning streak against Wisconsin, and an 18 game winning streak against NW.
However, on the flipside, there was game after game after game where we just got our asses handed to us under Hayden. 1995, with a pretty damn good team, OSU goes up on us 56-0 before halftime. 1996, another good team, gets pounded something like 40-10 by NW. Never competitive in the Rose Bowls. Those are just a few examples.
At the end of the day, I guess I can live with losing to teams we probably shouldn't lose to, but yet always knowing we can be competitive with, and often times bea, just about any team in the country than the flipside of always beating those teams we should but having a lot of big games where you just know we are going to get our asses handed to us....
