Fantasy Football-Arian Foster

I'm one of the lucky owners who drafted him this year. Obviously, he won't generate 40 pts every week but will he be a top five back? Ray Rice is my#1 Rb but I'm thinking of offering a trade of Rice for Andre Johnson. Am I nuts. Can Foster equal Rices production over the entire season?

Make the trade if you can. Rice has McGahee on the goal-line to contend with, whereas Foster is the #1 RB on a depleted RB depth chart.

id go for somebody other than johnson for one thing

He clearly wants a WR. Who would you suggest over Andre Johnson who is pretty much the consensus #1 WR?

edit: Also we need to know more about your team and scoring settings to know if it is a good idea or not.

Don't dismiss the Steve Slaton talk.

What talk? He is now relegated to being the teams top kick returner and backup running back. Foster came in to the season as the #1 and will remain the #1 unless he starts putting the ball on the ground. It's pretty easy to understand that Indy tried to take away the pass all game and Foster ran loose. Next week a team may try and take the run away and Houston will throw the ball 50 times. Kubiak is an opportunist.

Thanks for the input. 6 pts td, 1 pt per 10 yds. I have C.Johnson, Crabtree, Ward as top Wr. Rbs-Rice,Foster,Forte with McCoy and C.Williams on the bench. My usual philospophy is that you can never have enough Rbs, especially during bye weeks. I think Andre Johnson's stock might have dropped due to week one and he would be a huge upgrade to my WR's, but is he worth trading a top 5 running back.

Personally I wouldn't want a #1 RB and #1 WR from the same team as they will eat each other's points all of the time like what happened to Johnson this week. Next week Johnson might be eating all of Fosters points and you won't have any balance.

You had Forte and Foster last week! I am guessing you won!

A trade wouldn't be a bad idea for you. You would be solid at WR and RB

WR: A. Johnson, C. Johnson, Crabtree or Ward
RB: Foster, Forte, McCoy or Williams

Not bad. Rice will lose endzone carries to Mcgahee and now the Ravens have a pretty good passing game with Bouldin and TJ who's your momma

this is why i wouldn't want that but thats just me

I picked up Vince Jackson. He has a hearing today to reduce his suspension. There are serous rumours on vikingupdate that the Vikings will trade for him. I think I'll hoard my RB's for now. Thanks, everyone, for your input.
