Exhibition Game

Anybody going? Just wanted to see if anybody was planning on going. I know I'll be there.

Bought season tickets this year. Hope it pays off.

I was going to go down and cover it, but I am not going to.

I hope to be in CHA for the season opener, however.

I won't be able to provide a stream or video but I do plan to upload plenty of photos again this season starting with the exhibition game.

WADR, your showing up and cheering these young Hawks as they seek to return the program to respectability is a huge pay-off! More people need to do it. :D

Surely there will be a radio station streaming it??

I live in west central Wisconsin. There are nights I barely get WHO or WMT on my radio, but most nights not at all. Last year I was able to listen to a stream on WOC 1420's website. It was nice to be able to hear the games, although being able to see them would be better.

GO HAWKS!!!

I am thinking about it. Tickets are only $5 and kids get in free. Seems like cheap entertainment for a Sunday afternoon.

i was going but the handicap parking is very limited, as i found just 2 parking spots when i was in IC VA for a eye appointment, but i do have my radio programmed to WHO and ready to go,, 4 day 2 hrs and 15 minutes til the game starts

i'll be listening on the radio cant wait to see how this season goes i have a feeling it should be a good year maybe not the big dance good but iowa could pull off some upsets this year i think! GO HAWKS!!!!!

Could you find someone to go with you and drop you off near the door? I'm not an Iowa fan or I'd offer myself. I hate to see sombeody miss a game due to limited parking.

i live near Waterloo, as i will need the wheel chair the biggest thing is the distance between parking and Carver, my son may take me so it is a issue of parking, but i only found 2 spots next to Carver, the only other spots is supposed to be by the dental offices

Dragonhawk, in the past they have allowed handicapped parking in the lot that is right next to the arena, where the West and North entrances are. I don't know if that's changed with the renovations, but I would definitely check with the ticket office about it before you give up on the idea. In fact, if I remember I'll try to call tomorrow because I'd like to know for myself.

The other thing is that the handicapped parking in the dental lot is right across Elliot Drive from CHA's South Entrance, so it's really very close to the building as well. I think you would have to go around the building though and enter on the West side to avoid stairs, though.

Edited to add: Here's the link to the Men's Basketball Gameday Information on hawkeyesports.com. The spot marked HC on the map is where the handicapped parking is -- it's quite close to the arena.
