To have a glimmer of small, small hope, Iowa Basketball fans have been waiting for this sort of conversation for so many years.

I think that even with the possibility being low, there are so many fans that yearn to see the program relevant again.

It's definitely a bit exciting for a program that has been in a hole for so long.
 
Don't worry Iowa is going to get pounded tonight so we will all be able to go back to hoping and praying for the CIT/NIT/CBI.
 
Slowly,the program turns, and starts to pick up speed in the direction of a tourny bid.

Last year, PSU made a late run,including in the BTT to reach the tourny.
Year before,it was Minny who made the BTT finals to squeak in.
Why not us?

Well every time I get excited about Iowa's chances they lay an egg.

Here is a friendly reminder:
Ohio State - After winning 2 games on the road CHA was ready to explode. It was a sell out and by half time the place was quiet.

Nebraska - You lose at home to the worst team in B1G.

I was hoping/praying Iowa could win 1 of these 2 road games.

Oh, and the one game I attended in person? Friggin CAMPBELL!!!!

So this team has taught me a lesson. They can beat anyone or lose to anyone on any given night. I am going to think the worst and hope for the best.

Edit: Oops, I forgot I was at the UNI game as well. I still beetch about that game on how it was called.

I had no hope against Indiana and yet we defeated them.

I think we match up well with Wisconsin. This game is going to be close......

So definitely don't go to the game tonight and hope/pray that Wiscy wins and we should be alright.
 
I will not DVR this game. Each time I make sure to DVR a game we lose. Also, I will not be attending the game because every game I take my wife to a game we lose.... Regardless of the sport.
 
It's a lot better feeling in Feb than what we had been doing in Feb the three Lick years, which was debating on which players would transfer in March or April. Tony Freeman, Jeff Peterson, Jake Kelly and Aaron Fuller..
