1630 KCJJ reporting that Mike Evans was picked up for OWI. Not good. Wonder if he thinks the "Siberian" described training they have gone through was hard? The punishment for this should be worse!!!
 
Read the article he was not alone, he most likely was with other team mates. Remember schools out! Let the kid be, I am sure he has enough to deal with over the past few days. Like any of us haven't had a few too many. Let the kid deal with things.

there is no excuse for driving while drunk. No excuse.
 
I know a kid that lives in the dorms next door to all those freshman wrestlers. This isn't the first stupid thing that has happened just the first to make headlines.
 
Yes, boys will be boys and can let loose once and awhile BUT I agree absolutely no excuse for driving!! How long is it going to take for any athlete to learn it is not just about getting in trouble but they all have a target on them and eyes watching all over for them to screw up. The press loves to jump on this stuff and put it front and center, unfortunately with stuff like this they end up on the front page where the routine student does not. Also, does it matter if school is in or out? Stupid decision to drive drunk. Also, even though you are "red shirting" you need to buy into the system and live the life. That means following the rules and leave the alcohol for after the season if you need it.
 
He had just wrestled a tournament earlier that day, not that it matters much. I'll never understand D1 wrestlers drinking during season. Isn't it hard enough being a wrestler without adding to the difficulty level? He needs to suck it up and learn his lesson since he obviously learned nothing from Montel's experience.

I've said a few times that I think there is 1-2 newcomers in our starting lineups with attitude problems. What influence do some of the vets that are still around have on these guys? I'm thinking Metcalf. If I was on that team, regardless of who I was or my position in the team, I'd be scared shitless of him & a few others. To put it in a nutshell, I wouldn't pull that ****. Either they aren't around to the extent one might think they are or I am just flat out wrong.
 
Doubt there will be a suspension. This is his first time getting in trouble. Marion had been in trouble two other times prior to his suspension.
