ESPN is off the bandwagon

Seriously it is a nice thought but you cannot give a fair comparison in this particular game. They got in foul trouble early...which gave more minutes to guys who usually get little time...and we are missing a starter...
It's only not a fair comparison because it demonstrates that giving the starters more minutes = loss.

So maybe it's not shortening the bench minutes that's the problem.

Maybe it's...
putting a full game together with effective lineups,
playing a full game of tough defense,
somebody or two becoming leaders at the end of the game,
making free throws,
getting after 50/50 balls,
hating to lose more than the opponent,
not letting opponents' role players have season high games,
maybe even shortening the bench,

But more starters' minutes still meant an "L" because some of the above didn't get done.

I love when stupid people try to explain the flaws of statistics and fail miserably.

Totally Agree Bcl20.

I'd much rather discuss the performance metrics with you and those like-minded folks here then attempting to use this forum to change the perspective of others.

I do find it comical when the RPI ranking is used by itself to indicate true rankings.

I'm glad EsecPN is off the bandwagon. Now I don't have to wonder what they are saying about us because I don't watch anything on that network that isn't a live Iowa game.
